The student from anywhere in India who want to pursue basic science rather than technical courses in other engineering colleges which is a trend today and want to become a scientist then IISER 's are the best choice for them.

Professors of IISER Mohali are too kind, humble, helpful and easily approachable. You can visit to their office or labs anytime you want and can clear your doubts. There are always there to help you. You can call them or text them on whatsapp and they are very polite in replying. There are total 3 theory courses in a day and a 3 hour lab every day. Saturday and Sunday are off day.

There is an ongoing process in the college for establishing a placement cell and soon in 1 or 2 years we will be having a placement cell in our college IISER Mohali. This year also two students of Chemistry department were get placed in Research department of chemical industries. We also have an entrepreneurship cell in our college which motivate and organize and events on startup. This year one of the largest startup of India CANNABLE 3.0 was organized in our college.

IISER Mohali generally have two major events one is their annual fest that is INSOMNIA and other is Foundation day in which students of north india schools participate. Other events and festivals are also get celebrated in the college like Holi, Diwali, Republic day, Independence Day etc. Games, singing, quizzes, dance and various other competitions are organized on these festivals.

I am a KVPY-SX aspirant so I receive monthly scholarship of rupees 5000 directly into my account through KVPY department there is no role of my college in this but I have to score a minimum percentage of marks in my academic year to continue to get scholarship.

Infrastructure of our college is very nice and environment of college is very friendly and peaceful. College has Wi-Fi all over the campus and every student has their own individual student wifi key which they can access through only one device whether through their mobile phone or laptop. Labs are well-equipped with required and modern experimental setups.

Yes, I have opted for hostel. Hostel rooms are large, spacious, good and hygienic. In first and second year we have to share a room with one other student of our batch and in third year we get single room with no sharing with any other batchmate now you are the owner of your room.
