Remarks

The management has Improved over the years and going well in regards to placements, examination standards and other convenience etc besides internal politics the staff is good and helpful.

Entrance Preview

Jamia millia islamia has its own entrance examination for all courses. some courses have negative marking in examination and some have no negative marking at all. I chose B.Tech Electrical engineering because it has good market value and job prospects. Also the campus placement is very good track record.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course syllabus was wide enough over four years along with practical labs. Two sessional tests are followed by each semester exam. The schedule is hectic all the way. But learning is good.

Internships Opportunities

There is no stipend in this course but only scholarships are provided to the students in need. Although the fees is very small amount over the span of four years and anyone can afford it.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is excellent. Every year a number of companies participate in the placement process along with various MNCs like Siemens etc.

College Events

3.5

Each year there are several events regarding different themes and departments. Some are related to technical subjects like robotics, computing technics and programming competitions etc and some are team building related like rock band and music competition.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a central University and funded by UGC we have only small fees for all courses that anyone can afford. In my college time the fees was Rs 6000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no loan directly by the college but can be availed from any bank but only scholarships are provided to the students in need. Although the fees is very small amount over the span of four years and anyone can afford it.

Campus Life

5

There are number of extra curricular activities like cricket matches inter department and technical competitive events like robotics and programming languages competition. We have a big full size cricket ground called bhopal ground and football ground, two tennis courts and two basketball courts along with a gymnasium for other indoor games but we seriously lack a swimming pool. The admission is purely based on entrance Exam so gender ratio depends on the student performance and no special reservation for girls.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel was good but only provided to those who don't have their homes in delhi. The fees was cheap too but the quality was average. It's 3 sharing rooms but space is enough and other facilities are good like broadband Internet connection provided to each student.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network can be located on social media websites like Facebook and LinkedIn etc. It's growing strong and really helpful in getting jobs, trainings and internships. The alumni are already serving all over the world on good working posts.

Exam Structure

We have 8 semesters. Before each semester exam there are two sessional tests. The schedule is hectic all the way. But learning is good.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very good and experienced. Freshers are not allowed to be a Faculty as its happening in most private colleges. The faculty are from reputed colleges like IITs etc.

Top level companies are the ones that gets along and gives nearly 90% of the students.
