I took the NCHMCT JEE 2014. This is the entrance exam one needs to take to get admission to any of the ihms. I secured all india rank 15 and was eligible to get a seat in any of the ihms. I selected ihm pusa because it is the number one institute in india when it comes to hotel management.

The course is spread out evenly across 6 semester that is 3 year with foundation courses in first year industrial training of 17 weeks in second year.

The students have to undergo an industrial training for 17 weeks as part of the curriculum. Its also known as the industrial exposure. Companies like ITC,Hyatt,Oberoi,Trident, The Park,Trident etc come for the IT interviews. Some of them offer a stipend while others don't. Generally the stipend is in the range of 750-1500.

This college boasts about its usp of having the best placements with even overseas chains coming for the placements. Companies like ITC,Hyatt,IHG,Oberoi,KFC,McDonalds, Cafe Coffee Day etc are the regular recruiters.

Various clubs in the institute carry out various activities. Recently amaranth was held which was the first ever Pan India fest in the history of IHMs with students of IHMs spread across India coming to participate in it.

The fee is to be submitted in the beginning of every semester and it doesn't burden much. The course costs around 2.5 lpa for the whole three year course.

The institute provides scholarships to meritorious and financially week students. Apart from this the Radisson group sponsors the girl students securing rank 1 and 2 in their respective semesters.

The campus life is very interesting. We have various clubs and they usually keep you busy in organizing events. There is no gender bias in the institute and girls and boys get to work equally on things.

The hostel and mess facilities are not bad. The mess food is nothing like the conventional "mess" food. It is far better and you'll actually miss the mess food when you leave the institute. The hostel seats are limited but there are many PGs in the vicinity of the institute.

The institute has an alumni association too. The students who pass out of the institute has to pay a very nominal fee to become the member of the association. Recently a very big alumni reunion party was thrown at hotel Radisson Blu Mahipalpur with guests like Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor coming for it.

We've a semester vise exam structure and in the starting phase one might think of the practicals as quiet hectic but as time passes you get habitual to it and find them interesting.

The faculty is one of the best. They're completely loaded with the expertise and experience. They have a wide range of sources to provide the accurate information about the industry.
