Course Curriculum Overview
Relevance: 8.5/10 Focusing core departments like food production, food and beverage, housekeeping, front offIce,etc. Includes practical training almost everyday. Subjects like financial management, hotel accountancy, Human Resource management prepares students for managerial roles. Comprehensiveness: 8/10 Cover both practical and theoretical aspects. Industrial training is a strong component. Allow students to gain hands on experience. Soft skill development., such as leadership, crisis management, etc.
Placement Experience
College have a strong placement record with students securing jobs in top hotel chains, hospitality management firms, etc. Leading hospitality brands such as Taj, Oberoi, Marriot, ITC, Hyatt, etc regularly recruit from the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not opted for any kind of scholarship. Yearly fees is around 1,30,000. i.e. average 62,000 per semester ( academic year). Hostel fee for single student room is 90,000 yearly. Hostel fee for triple sharing room is 1,10,000 yearly. It is increasing every year with new batch.
Campus Life
There are numerous student led events, cultural festivals, and hospitality competitions that bring everyone together. College have different extra curricular clubs like-- Asavari (music club), kaladhaar (acting), punchtatva (dance), vakta (orators), cynix (the tech team), etc. The infrastructure of the college is well equipped to support both academic and practical learning. The campus includes modern training kitchens, bakeries, restaurants, housekeeping labs, front office simulators,well maintained hostel, library, mess,bake shop (canteen/cafeteria),etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is a good facility proving two types of accommodation. 1. Single bed room. 2. Tripple sharing room. Good quality of food is served to the hostel students as it a hospitality management college. If you want a rented room or PG., there are good localities near the college. - Patel Nagar - Rajinder Nagar - Ranjeet Nagar -Karol Bagh Etc.
Admission
1. Reputation and accreditation. 2. Curriculum and practical exposure. 3. Placements and industry connections. 4. Faculty and infrastructure. 5. Alumni network and career growth. The admissions in the college are based on the results of the entrance examination, which is NCHMCT entrance exam.
Faculty
The college staff and faculty is really good. They are the industry experts. They know very well about the industry and can guide and nurture a student really well for a better future. B.Sc HHA is a 3 years degree divided into 6 academic years (semesters). Where one semester is for the industrial training in a 5 star hotel. (2nd year)
Night Life
IHM PUSA is more academically focused, so the traditional night life is limited. However, the students often organize their own hostel get togathers, cultural events, hospitality related competitions, theme food festivals, etc. Since the location is delhi, students have their easy access to some of the best food joints and cafes. Popar spots- hudson lane, connaught place, rajouri garden, etc. For those looking for proper nightlife experience. CP, Hauz Khas, Cyber Hub Gurugram offer plenty of pubs and lounges. Delhi is know for street food., and the places like parantha wali gali, jama masjid, murthal, etc are famous for late night bites.
