Remarks

I decided to take admission in my college as it attracted me with it's wonderful and progressing ambience. The faculty of the particular subject which I opted for also made me take admission in the college as the faculty plays an important role for the higher education of the students in which they are opting for as it determines the quality of information and education they are trying to provide.as it differs with different colleges. Last but not the least the college in which I took admission is ranked in NAAC which is the top most well reputed college with the best academic results and with the best faculties under the Calcutta University as the university plays an important role in getting the certificates and also to prepare one for applying the best of the jobs in the future.

Course Curriculum Overview

Sociology Honours was the course I opted for and the syllabus was huge with four papers in it for three years before graduating. Although the syllabus was huge but it was filled with many interesting topics related to society, about different viewpoints towards the society and also the syllabus was very much related to the current situation and state of our society. The course was very lengthy and had got huge amount of informations regarding the society and about all kinds of viewpoints of different famous sociologists towards the society who had become immortal within the pages of the history of sociology.being lengthy the syllabus provided us with maximum and detailed information and different types of patterns about the society in which we all are residing and also about different norms, rules, activities and viewpoints about how people react in their day to day life within a society.and this is very much relevant to the present time. The faculty was excellent as they helped us in our ups and downs and were always ready to look at our pros and cons and make us get familiar with the subject and make us understand the whole subject in a different and more easy way. This helped us in scoring great marks in the exams and also to gather a lot of knowledge about the particular subject.and also they prepared us to instill the subject deep down inside of us so that we can make it understand to others also whenever it is required. The faculty did their best to co-operate with us and also they introduced us from a different perspective towards the subject, which is really so much appreciable and productive and of huge value.

Placement Experience

4

As I have not yet completed my graduation I can't tell about the placements and job opportunities.but yes, after studying sociology hons. one can opt for government jobs both for the state and also for the central, many banking services are also in the list which one can opt for, one can even go for joining famous and big NGO'S as studying sociology is advantageous for one to make progress in the particular field as that particular student can understand and also look at the society from a different perspective and can even cope to the problem of the masses and also of different people and can try to reach them more easily and in an advantageous way and can solve problems regarding the society in a greater and more productive level which studying sociology makes one enable to take these special steps which is quite out of the box and makes one stand a step higher from the rest.

College Events

5

As I have told earlier, Asutosh College not only is focussed on building up a great career life for the students but they wud also look after building up the overall character and structure of a student so thst he/she is able to be socialized and can take part in any events they want to in the near future and can make themselves better and smarter every single time. My college would conduct different fests and different cultural programmes throughout the year like dancing, singing competitions, fashion shows, cooking festivals and also of sports and the participation in each one of them was very much important. They would never force someone against their will to make them participate but anyone wants to show their zeal to take part in the above mentioned activities then my college wud give its full assistance and full guidance and support to make that student participate in the events and would also ensure that particular students performs with their full potential and discover their inner abilities and make themselves always prepared for the future life.and these events wud be conducted to make the college life interesting, happy filled with colors and also to make the college life memorable and make the students recognise their own potentials in their particular fields. Make themselves more jubilant, more colorful from inside out and also to identify the best of themselves alongwith the studies which are the most important ones.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a government college so the fees for opting in the college is very minimum keeping in mind not everyone can afford such s costly college and education is important and free to every single one.and every one has got the right to get education so my college considers the financial problem for any exceptional case and would act accordingly and make sure thst the particular student can study in the college and gain knowledge and get education to his/her most and not feel agitated to come to college and miss the classes for some financial problems.

Campus Life

My college held a lot of sport events almost throught out the year.and these events comprised of cricket, football, volleyball, badminton etc.alongwith concentrating on the academics of the students they even organised many sport events to build up our sportsmanship and also to make us prepare to face the world in our later future. The college had free wifi and the library was huge where one needs to get the card and fill the form and one can sit over there study and discuss with their fellow mates and also one can take books of their particular subject they are studying. The library had a very friendly nature towards the students and is always a step forward to help them in any way possible.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.
