The only negative about the lifestyle in such B-Schools is that the students evolve during the 2 years into becoming very materialistic beings. Monetary or personal gains become the most important aspect for most people here having greater importance than things like relationships,compassion etc.

I took CAT IIMs are the best known colleges in India for an MBA course degree hence the obvious option. For getting a GDPI call from any of the IIMs being a fresher you need to score a minimum of 90 percentile which may vary from batch to batch college to college and even student to student.

The course structure is a right mix of theoretical knowledge with near-practical implementation through elaborate caee studies simulations etc. The first year has compulsory courses with the basics of all streams however in the 2nd year you can choose your own electives with a mix of courses and stream of your liking and inclinations.

Average batch package 12 L.P.A the companies that come are similar to the ones that come for the final placement including the top FMCG(HUL,P&G, PepsiCo,Heinz,etc.),BFSI (StanC,JP Morgan,ICICI, etc.),ecom,(Flipkart,amazon etc.),telecom (Vodafone,Airtel,Idea etc.) companies and consulting firms like Cognizant, Accenture,TCS etc.

There are technical events,cultural fests,inter IIM sports meets with participation from all across the country. Besides these there were 4 batch parties in a year for the students of the college to unwind. There are also local events organised by the students of the college with a social cause like Mini marathons visits to nearby villages,towns to understand the socio-economic structure of the place and help structure the model better for greater benefits to the residents.

The 2 year tuition fee is approx. 10 Lakhs exclusive of hostel and mess charges. The hostel and mess charges would add up to another 25 K per month. In case the student is selected for and chooses to go for a foreign exchange program for a term in the second year then that would incur an additional cost of 3-4 lakhs. In the foreign exchange program we exchange students for a period of 1-2 terms with some of the top B-Schools in Europe to have greater global exposure.

Loans from govt banks like CBI,SBI,UBI etc. Give a very good and competitive rate when opted for through the college in bulk together for the entire batch. The rates are competitive with a higher sanction amou t and no collateral,guarantor.

Gender Ratio 30% females cross cultural with a very open minded set-up in terms of social and personal lifestyles. Economic standards get standardised at this stage with the easily available loan and the security of landing a decently paying job. There is a lot to do and just 24 hours in a day making each of the student sleep for less than 5 hrs a day during the 2 years to make the most of their time. You'll find people in the college premises 24*7 as classes end very late post which there are group meeting for project,assignment preparations that go on through the nights.

The hostel and mess charges would add up to another 25 K per month. There are 2 canteens that provide very hygenic and a decent spread of meals 4 times(fixed durations) a day. The basic meal comprises of veg items with an additional choice of non- veg items which are to be paid for. Besides these there are canteen facilities available at other times of the day by which the students have options to eat almost round the clock. The hostels are available for single as well as double occupancy however the rent being the same for both. The double occupancy rooms have an additional benefit of attached bathrooms. Besides these rooms have optional geyser and ac facilities on a monthly basis, with an additional payment of a nominal monthly fee.

The entire 2 years are going to be very hectic with assignment submissions,project presentations,quizzes,seminars on a daily basis. There academic year is divided into a trimester structure with mid terms and end-terms in every term. Average number of subjects per term 8.

The faculty here are very varied and top notch some are full time professors, some are guest lecturers. The faculty comprises if some of the best professors in the country of their fields. Some of them being of international repute from colleges like Cambridge,Harward etc and others being authors themselves. There are periodic seminars conducted by famous personalities in the business world.
