Likes
- Placements are really good. A large number of top companies came for placement and almost every student landed an offer. More than 90% got placed as of now, with one more month remaining. CIR team is really supportive and helpful.
- Faculties are really good and expert at their own field. Most of them are Phd holders or have great industrial experiences. Some faculties are from IIM, Harvard
- Curriculum is very updated, relevant courses are provided to make the students industry ready. Courses are updated each year to keep its relevance.
Dislikes
- First 2 semesters are really hectic with classes on weekend with plenty of works and assignment. It seemed like there is no breaks and had to push ourselves really hard in the initial year.
- Class rooms are not air conditioned as of now. Which makes being in class during hot days somewhat tiring.
- During placement season we have to travel a lot to different campuses to attend the placement process. Which made the last few semesters very hectic
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is updated each year according to the market trends. Due to the boom of AI, a course namde generative AI fundamentals were added this year. Curriculum is very relevant to real world applications like investment, entrepreneurship, B2B sales etc Teaching method and curriculum is perfect for an MBA student according to me. Exams occur every other month divided as mid term and end term exam for every semester. Difficulty: moderate
Internships Opportunities
For internships few companies offered stipends. BNY melon offered internship with a stipend of 30,000. Meghara robotics offered the same. Internships were mostly grabbed through outside contacts Internship project were done based on the specialisation one has taken. Marketing and sales students go for internship project based around sales and marketing
Placement Experience
From 4th semester students becomes elegible for placement Some of the companies that visited inlcude but not limited to: MRF, federal Bank, City union bank, AO smith, EY, Deloitte, SBI, Geojit etc There are total 60+ offers made Highest package: 12LPA Average package: 7.5 LPA Almost 90% student got placed Got placed, thus waiting to join
Fees and Financial Aid
Total Fees: 790000 Caution deposit: 10000 Registration fees at website: 1400 Scholarship based on marks obtained in entrance test such as KMAT, CAT, MAT AMET, upto 50% fees off for high percentage of marks at these respective test Scholarship for top 6 students based on marks obtained in the first year. 50% off on tuition fees for the following year

Admission
I applied to TKM institute of management, and got confirmed addmission, but i choose Amrita school of business because pf their placement records. Admission process include. Registration in the official website. For eligibility one should need to clear any management entrance test such as CAT, KMAT, AMET, MAT. Most prefere AMET, it is a test done within Amrita itself. Later on after having sufficient score there is a GD and PI
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is low, as the number of students are high. But students are assigned to a particular faculty for mentorship. Mentors provide guidance when approached and are helpful. All the faculties are great, everyone is expert at their respective field. The course is offered in trimester format. Thus there are 3 semester per year. And each semester has 2 term exams. Thus there are about 6 term exams pers year. Exams in term of difficulty is moderate. Application level questions are asked thus conceptual clairty is a must.
Interview Experience
Topic for GD: Generative AI and its impact in upcoming years. Interview questions: Self introduction, why MBA, why Amrita, About UG , Where do u see yourself in 5 years, Career vs Job For GD one should have some general knowledge and for PI be honest and to the point.
Night Life
There is not much night life around the college. College offers gym free of cost for students, library is rich with books in every field. Hostel opens at 5:00 am and students are required to enter back at 8:45 pm Famous hangout places include restaurant such as spicy villa, vallikav junction, ashramam
