Entrance Preview

I took GGSIPU used to have its own entrance exam back then. My Rank was around 7000 I chose this college because of the placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is hectic up till the 1st 3 semesters after that you start to get a grip of things and by the end you can end up handling any thing thrown at you. You start out having 8 theory subjects and by the end you have 2-3 theory subjects and equivalent labs.

Placement Experience

3

Doing my placement time many good MNC's came. Infosys which took 190 students,CSC 40 students,Sapient 7 Standard Chartered 20 etc a quite hugh number of students had gotten placed then and some joined prominent startups liks Josh Technologis Blue Mix music, etc.

College Events

4

The annual cultural technical fest called as GATES it's a 3 day event has students coming over from all the various other institutes of Delhi Its a typical delhi based college fest Dj's food no drinks dance star night technical competitions cultutral activities fun games cool games PC games COD,FIFA,NFS etc. The stand out features include the technical events wherein you contest against the best in your college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is decent for the 4 years you end up paying around 4 lakhs out of which you can recover around 1 lakh withing college time itself also the college allows you to make small deposits instead of making just 1 single big deposit to help make room for the people who aren't able to make lump sum payments.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does offer scholarship to the students who wish to avail the scholarship upto 25000. The top performer also gets a 5000 cheque across all yearsalso J&K based students can avail benefit of the PM's scholarship fee upto 10000 once a year that covers all the expenses inclduding living charges.

Campus Life

2

The campus life is hectic for the studios whereas for others it is a walk in the park. Gender Ratio is pretty decent a 60 student class has on average 20-25 girls in it In CSE and EEE has a not so great gender ratio. Diversity ain't this colleges strong factor though you dont face any issues of this sortlabs were ok some were cool but some were pretty darn hard to work in.

Hostel Facilities

2

The area is pretty great to live in across the college you dont have hostels so that's a bummer. The pg's start at 5000 and go upto max 8000 with all facilities covered and all what be needed providedRenting a flat can start from 7000 for a 2bhk to a 13000 for a 3bhk. The food of pg's varies across pg some have great and some not so great you can find your own maids to cook for you.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are helpful. They help in laying out a plan for the future that you so dread alumni meet was held couple of years back the 1st of its kind but that was that The management that this college has can choke up certain events though it doesnt really affect the students in a greater way.

Exam Structure

The Exams and labs were very frequent leaving everyone exhausted during the first two years after that it became a chill scene and then the the exams and labs were not very frequent and things started to cool down a bit. A quite hugh number of students only came for the labs then as theory could be quite intriguing to attend attentively.

Faculty

3

The faculty is distributed equally across all the years. You get someone who is a tough but and you get someone who lets you be a free bird. Qualified teachers are present in abundance here every 3rd person has a Ph.D and you have ample staff to organize cultural events as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
