Remarks

Focus on more lab (practical) work rather than only on the theory part. All the instruments are available there. Professors are always available for any help. We are provided with Summer Internships here. Projects for the dissertation have been allotted to every student.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is according to net/gate. We were provided with good labs, all the instruments were available. All the faculty members are very cooperative, always there to help. Dr. kulvir singh, Dr. Chudasama always provide us the path to seek best knowledge and are always available for any discussions and doubts.

Placement Experience

Placements in thapar are good. But in msc programmes placement percentage is poor. Not much companies were visited. A school and an institution were visited and 2/22 students of our class were got selected.

College Events

Campus life in thapar was amazing, all the festivals were celebrated, lohri diwali, holi, even they also organise mata ka jagran and path in which we were also provided with delicious 'langar'. Various cultural events were held every month by different societies.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is excellent. We were provided with all the facilities, air conditioners, library, wifi, badminton ground, cricket ground, 4 km long track, gym, swimming pool, all the expensive lab instruments were also available.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is excellent. Hostels are easily available. We were provided with every facility, wifi, gyms, library, badmintion kits to play and delicious food. Fee is nominal according to facilities provided.

Hostel Fee: INR 93000 per year

Overall university is nice but i would suggest to opt for government colleges if you are looking in Chandigarh

Placement Experience:

In last year means in semester 5th , amity offers placements. Companies visited was amazon, Google, microsoft , airtel , flipkart , deloitte and adobe in 2023. Package:- highest 10 lakh per annum and average was 5-6 lakh per annum offered by deloitte and hdfc 8000+ students got placements. My plans after the degree are Ma in clinical psychology from abroad.

Its is good college in terms of money and their atmosphere

Placement Experience:

Our college is not so good in terms of placement. Our college is not tied up with the MNC for the placements of the students. Mostly sales-related jobs are offered in the placements. The highest package offered by our college is approx 7 LPA and the average package is 4.8 LPA. According to my point of view, only 15 to 20 percent of students can get jobs.

Life at GMC Patiala

I chose this as it is one of the well-known colleges for mbbs in Punjab. 10:225, Faculty, are postgraduates. With an experience of more than 5years mostly. At the end of the year, there were exams that are a bit difficult to pass.

inside campus walls

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More

I applied to IGDTUW , VIT vellore and other colleges i got into both in VIT i got CS but it was too far away plus the placement percentage there is comparatively low and IGDTUW i didn't have mg prefered branch.
