Remarks

My rank was an important factor of course but the pleasant climatic condition of siliguri and the scenic beauty of nbmc (as it is located in the foothills of the Himalayas) made be choose this government institution over others in the state.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is very interesting albeit rigorous and vast and requires hands on learning. Nbmc caters to the needs of patients from far and wide in North Bengal and hence ample clinical exposure to its students. This, alongwith the aid of our approachable and tirelessly dedicated professors, has in turn h provided us with abundant opportunities for to develop the much needed clinical skills.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 40500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship is compulsory.

Placement Experience

Further placement is after one cracks the NEET - PG entrance exam. Housestaffships are also offered by my college.

College Events

The college fest (by the name of plasma) is hosted annually around September and it is one of it's kind. We simply love it. Apart from this, saraswati puja is also celebrated in a big way in college.

Campus Life

Our campus has free wifi and well equipped labs, a library that houses almost any book a medical undergraduate would require, a badminton court and a huge ground for sports activities, spacious air conditioned lecture theatres and well operational OTs.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel has single rooms as well as large rooms to accommodate more than 1 student (maximum of 4 in first year), over all the rooms are spacious and from fourth year onwards every student gets a single room.

Hostel Fee: INR 144 per year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of the course is pretty nice with diversified subjects alsong with specialization subjects in the 3rd and 4th semester. Some compulsory subjects include Tagore Studies and Basics of Communication. The course also includes Development Communication, Online media, Journalism, Gender studies, Advanced Audio Visual Production. The department is well equipped a mac lab but it only have 5 macs. The curriculum also includes Design, UIUX, Graphics design etc, and the curriculum is continuously updating with moden media teachings. The curriculum mostly prepare us for Academic Purposes than Industry.

I joined this college as it was closer to my hometown and It has good reviews than other colleges it is one of the most disciplined college. I applied this college in the first round with topmost priority and I got into it in first go. I got admission in this college through JENPAS examination and I only gave PAPER 1 But I got into the college cause my marks were good and on top of that I was ST student but I didn't get into college due to category.
