Remarks

I wanted to shift to a city where the culture would be dynamic. Bengaluru was my first choice. Christ opened up their admission and I filled the form after finding out that the English Honours course is so enriching and updated. Christ is a reputed college in India. Hence, my parents were also ready to send me there

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Christ does not really need any kind of introduction. The curriculum kept us engaged all the time. At least I did not have any time to spare for petty jobs. We were always kept busy with either academics, fun activities or fests. As for academics, the course was vast. Nothing seemed limited to a boundary. We used to learn about anything and everything. The papers were dynamic. From British Literature and American Literature to Content Writing and Film Studies, we have been taught everything. The faculty of English Hons is lovely. They are mostly PHD holders or pursuing a doctorate in their field.

Internships Opportunities

I have interned twice as a Christite but I did not get these through the placement cell. One was Child in Need Institute (NGO) and the other was SK Live, a local news channel at Siliguri

Placement Experience

4.5

English honours students are majorly hired as content writers. Publishing houses, MNCs, Start-ups and magazine houses are the main job offerers. We also have an alumni network online which helps the students find jobs or future courses

College Events

4

The campus life at Christ is enriching. You are always kept motivated and busy with various activities. There is at least one fest hosted by some or the other department every month! The university will also send you out to represent them in various colleges in various cities. Not only departments, the activity clubs and student body also host separate fests.

Campus Life

4.5

The Bannerghatta campus is not a large campus but it has incorporated everything that is necessary for a student. We had a 2 floor library with a vast selection of books, computer systems, newspaper and magazine subscriptions and journals. There is a throwball court and basketball court. The campus has a huge parking space too. The auditorium is one of its kind.

From 7th semester, students are eligible for internships and placements. The placements over here are good but only if you maintain your cgpa. There are various companies that come to college for placements. Placements for cse and ise are pretty good.
