Remarks

Very good faculties and perfect environment to gain knowledge and experience.The best thing about the college is the discipline it maintains in every aspect. The college has a very well infrastructure. The library facilities are also good. Almost all the required books are available for reference and exam purposes.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculties are extremely good. They not only motivate us to study our own subjects but also provides exposure to th outer world with participation in quiz, debates and other co-curricular activities. The syllabus is also updated and follows the latest patterns of the University.

Placement Experience

The college does not provide much placement and job opportunities. Most of the students who were offered for placement was hired in small companies. Those were mostly call centre jobs. Thr placement department isn't favorable in the college

College Events

The college helds it's fest every year with lots of activities. The entire work of management is done by the teachers and the students of the college. All other colleges are invited to attend the fest and participate in it. The fest goes on for four days with different inter-college competitions and cultural programs.

The infrastructure is very well maintained with two libraries, wifi, and many laboratories for all experimental purposes. The equipments are also quite readily available. The college also provides access to free wifi connections.

Hostel Facilities

The PG infrastructure was okay. They had small rooms. It's not easy to avail the pg The food quality was bad. The infrastructure was acceptable because of its renovation. The only good thing about the PG was that it was very safe for girls.

The IIT brand value.Great placements and internship opportunities
Competitive peers and lots of ongoing.Great environment
Lush green campus, lots to explore and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Rigorous academics, hectic exam schedules
Hostel infrastructure is quite old and mess food quality is just acceptable.
Professors teaching style can be quite boring as well

Placement statistics of IIT Kharagpur is excellent with multiple offers made across software, quant, consulting , analytics and core domain.Major companies like Google, Microsoft, Optiver, Visa,Mastercard visit the campus each year for recruitment.Highest packages are offered by quant companies and can go upto 2 - 2.5 crore per annum

Likes

Campus is nice. There's greenery and all
SOME of the faculties are really good and those said teachers will actually look out for you and care
Mentors are appointed for each students who are responsible for their final year project, publications and LORs. If you are lucky, you'll get a good mentor.

Dislikes

Classrooms are less compared to the number of students. Students have to wander around the building after each classes to find seats. Classrooms are very dirty
There's literally NOTHING in the labs. Experiments take way long to prepare and perform because reagents and equipments are never available.
Hardly a 2 week summer break (because of MAKAUT). Students cannot even apply to good internships because no lab would take in external students in july or august.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Likes

I like the campus , it is quite huge and green , the canteen has both cooked and packed food available, a seperate common room for students and many sports equipment available. Several functions are arranged along with international conferences held
All the faculty members are soft spoken , knowledgeable and friendly, it is easy to find help regarding anything.
Professors are strict about their syllabus and subjects , paying proper attention to the students. Practicals classes are conducted without fail.

Dislikes

There is nothing as such that I disliked because I am a first year student so I haven't been so much involved yet , I think that the washrooms should be cleaned properly to maintain the hygiene apart from thjs everything is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects offered in the college as well as the minor and idc subjects are well adhered to the curriculum and future aspects. The subject combinations are apt and futuristic. It moderately prepares one for real world situations.

Some senior student rudely behaviour on junior student and their ragging junior student like me improve
College management like to improve all student problems as soon as possible there is very getting some problems to solve this
Summer time student are dry condition and heat to like improvement to classroom condition to very cool

I choose this course because the curriculum combines clear theoretical foundations with strong practical exposure, and hands on session influenced by decision most. I felt curriculum was designed not just to teach concepts but to help students understand how those concepts are applied in the real situation

Faculties are well trained and knowledgious
Boys girls ratio is 2:1. This college gives highest safety to girls
The campus offers number of games like badminton court, table tennis court and a large ground for cricket

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not very much good.
Other games like basketball court is brooen
The library is not having ac which creates a problem in summer

The exam is very difficult. Literally you can't copy a single answer and can't carry cheat in examination but this is applicable only for final examination. Well, you can cheat in semester examination . Improvement in teaching method - mic of the lecture theatre not work properly and too much echo

My experience was very interesting while pursuing my graduation in The Neotia University

Likes

The skill Development programs which we used to have ik every sem
The culture of the college, relationship with the faculties
Different cultural events, social events

Dislikes

Infrastructure was really bad, we did not have enough practical classes as promised
Library facility was also not good, not enough books for all students
I just got a placement with a CTC of 36k per anum. It was ridiculous to get a job with 3k salary after spending almost 3 lakhs. Also we had to pay separately for internships and all India tour which was included in the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam pattern was good. Moderate paper was there. Examiner had done a great job. For the curriculum we always had to pay extra money. In our 7th sem, we had all India tour, we did have any practical classes or theory exam still we had to pay for the practical and library not only that we had to pay for the trip as well.

Reasons to not apply for NSHM Knowledge Campus

Likes

The admission process was very smooth, the administration board is very helpful.
The library is huge and the content of books is very good
College life and fests are good but not great

Dislikes

Placements are absolutely bogus. There were almost no good placements when i passed out part of it can be blamed on covid but mostly the college was largely at fault
Faculty was not upto the mark in regards to the hefty college fees we were charged
Even during covid online classes we were charged full fee which is again absolutely horrendous

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

First of all the placements are good. The teachers are awesome. The environment is sweet and any one can stay here very comfortably. Maximum students are very talented, hardworking and intelligent, everyone has a big aim in life.
The functions of the college at any event and at any fastival are very interesting.
The indoor games and outdoor games facilities available.

Dislikes

The building are getting old they should have to paint the buildings and decorate.
The hostel for PG students is not good specially for girls.

Placement Experience:

In M.Tech. the students are eligible for placements after second sem. The highest package is 56lpa giving by Microsoft. The average placement pakage for CSE is around 10lpa. 90 percent students getting placed.

You can focus on gate, or any other job teachers are helpful no issue of attendance.
easily pass as syllabus is not hard,and get a B.tech degree.

Dislikes

poor infracture, lack of resources such as sports facility.
Less qualified teachers with no PHDs, and familiar with basic knowledge.
No placements, whatever you can do is off campus only

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.

I had applied for Ashutosh College and got admitted too but then I got to know that Ashutosh is all about politics, no regular classes nothing, full of raggings and toxicity. I personally didn't felt safe there and then I applied for Bethune, one of the top government women colleges in Kolkata with best teaching faculty and zero ragging or goons and no politics. It was a centralised admission portal and I want actually totally unaware about it. So I mistakenly jumbled my preference list. I placed the college wrongly and I put Ashutosh at following by Maulana Azad college. And being the number one of the preference list, I got Ashutosh and there was no way of downgrading. So I cancelled the admission there and then waited for mop up round and this time, i applied for Bethune college at first and got myself there. Cut-off here remains high all the time, and not everyone gets admitted here. Cut-off is actually 75% but only those who are above 85% gets admitted here....Read More

Why you should not get here

I applied many colleges under CU like Ashutosh College, Jaipuriya College, Scottish Church, Sister Nivedita, Behala. But I choose Bethune as it was convenient for me. Also, Behune is one the finest colleges during ancient times. It's very reputated college there. No, I didn't get rejected in all the mentioned ones except for the Ashutosh college. I had my family friends near Bethune College so it was convenient for me. The eligibilty criteria is same which is mentioned in their website. You must uave scored more than 60% in your intermediate. And your top three subjects will be reviewed then they'll select as per the marks. You don't have to give any exams. Once you applied from their site, your name will appear in their merit list. Green, scenic campus and wholesome College experience

One has to score at least 60% overall in Class 12 boards and at least 60% in English to be eligible for the course. The application form can be found by registering on the admissions website (Bethune admissions.ac.in). The application dates will be updated on the college website (Bethune college.ac.in).
