Remarks

NMIMS is a reputed University. It was affiliated to Mumbai University before, but it has become a Deemed University now. However, it shares the same teaching pattern and curriculum as M.U. Narsee Monjhee Institute is already known for its polished alma matter and good salary packages to their pass outs.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is holistic and state of the art. Contemporary subjects were introduced while pursuing the course. The academics and the passing criteria is a little tougher than Mumbai University but the teachers are very supportive and helpful.Attendance criteria is stringent as well and the institution thrives on making their students work to the best of their abilities and become polished aluninis.

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities include companies such as Accenture, Infosys, Byju, Cactus Global, Tech Mahindra. Placement is done in the Mumbai Campus. The process for inclusion in these companies entails an aptitude test, groud discussiom and a final interview.

College Events

The campus life is really peaceful. The camous is beautiful and well maintained. Different extracurricular activities such as yoga, music, dance, movie nights are arranged witihin the campus. Festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi, Lohri, Holi, Uttrayan, Bhai Dooj are celebrated in the campus. The University has a dedicated Annula Cultural fest 'The Protsahan' and a sports fest 'Flavium'. It's an energetic affair where students of different branches compete against each other in different sports activities like Football, cricket, chess, badminton, Monster Robot Wars.

Campus Life

NMIMS Shirpur is a closed campus. However, the campus life is peaceful. It has large grounds, wifi facility, a good library with a lot of books on various courses. The Library is huge and air-conditioned. The equipment in labs are always kept on check. The campus also has a huge football ground, volleyball courts, basket ball courts, tennis courts, a swimming pool.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure is good. The rooms are always kept clean. Housekeeping is done everyday. The hostels are kept next to shiny and clean. The mess food is also decent. There are options too inside the mess. The bathrooms are also kept clean. The hostel wardens are available 24*7 and there's an infirmary, T V rooms on each floor, common rooms for studying and a gym.

Placement Experience:

The college provide placement drives for students, from 6th semester student get eligible for the placement drive if they have cleared all backlogs if any. There visited so many companies like Reliance ke locks and many which provides many placement drives and takes number of students and and that they take post aptitude test and like from 15 students the 10 are selected in the aptitude test and then there is an interview round in which out of 10 only two or three are selected as the Reliance come when the Reliance company came to the college for the placement right did took aptitude test for the chemical branch and as well as for the mechanical branch and that will talk almost 80 students for the aptitude test and which from the chemical branch only 40 students appearing for the aptitude test in the Reliance company in which only 15 students where selected for the second round that is for the interview round and that only 10 students where selected for the final with 10 students where finally selected to get the placement in the Reliance company is the one of the most renowned company for the placement. Likewise there in the college many companies visited for the chemical as well as for the many other branches that is from like we got many startup companies like Lakshmi Organics Laxmi Chemicals and many startup companies with gives placements to the freshers which get passed from their chemical the engineering degrees who have completed without any backlogs and have cleared all the semesters., the students get placement after all the basis of their project the interviews are held and they ask in that the project related questions the curriculum related questions and some behavioural questions. Are chemical branch are bad way in that almost there were 150 students in all that only 58 students where selected in the placement drives held at the placement but all the other should have to try outside the college for the placement som of them have to go abroad.

From 4th Semester , Students are placement Ready.They get internships and other opportunities upon the placement.The criteria is same as every college has Get all Backlogs cleared while passing the course and getting Graduated. No. of companies offer vary every Year - Capegemini , Mahindra Tata and other companies like Bajaj , infosys are the major placement companies. There are More which is not stated here as it varies every year.Highest Package is around 13-14 Lakhs Per Annum and the Average Package is around 3-4 Lakhs Per Annum. High number of packages are available. Placement Drives are also available for students (but you should clear everything first for all SEM's. Most common percentile or C.G.P.A is 9.7 or 9.8 (highest). My plans are clear to get focused to Job Security apply for Govt or PSU sectors.

I am still new and though I know that students here are placed even if not in large numbers. College helps in getting placements and intenrships both and those who does well in intenrships but obvious get placements. My plan is to sharpen my skills even more and for that I will go for LLM.

The NMAT test can be taken up to three times each year, with the best of the three results counting. Any bachelor or above Pharma/Biotech graduate with a minimum of 50% marks can apply for the program provided they clear the cut off of the NMAT examination. I took the NMAT test and received a score of 246, the cut-off for the 2021-23 cohort was 235. In addition, the individual cut-off was set at 76. Following the exam, the selected candidates were given a WAT test and a PI. A total of 1300 candidates were selected for the final selection, with around 600 of them enrolling in MBA programs at NMIMS in Mumbai.
