Deccan Education Society's Navalmal Firodia Law College (DES) was established and managed by Deccan Education Society's. The complex of the college is well built and set up with all modern infrastructures. MHT CET is the only entrance which our college accepts. In my score I was getting DY Patil as well but Firodia is definitely much better and that was the reason I took admission as soon as my score in the entrance allowed me to.

Admission is based on the entrance exam known as Mhcet. In this exam maharashtrians have reservation of 90% and Other maharashtrian students are in 10% only. Eligibility is 12th passed only. I didn't applied to any other college as i was sure i will get decent college

Pros and Cons

Admission:

I wrote CLAT but wasn't able to clear it. I also gave MHCET. To get into this college one is required to give this exam and clear the cut off for their respective criteria. DES is 3rd in the list after GLC and ILS. Oms cut offs go way higher than MS. Transfer between colleged available in mhcet list is also possible from 2nd year based on merit.

Why you must opt for DES Navalmal Firodia law college!

Admission:

To apply to any one of the colleges for an LL.B/BA.LL.B one has to give the MH CET, which is the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test. It is a four-subject MCQ test. It is one of the best colleges in Pune and does not disappoint. The MH CET cell conducted the admission rounds, and ours had a little management quota. In the first two rounds, you are asked to go to certain colleges and apply for betterment if you are not satisfied with the option allowed. The third round is the risky round where you apply to the maximum number of institutions to maximize your chance of admission. There shall be merit lists of all colleges on a separate basis, you identify your chances and apply as you like. I got some of the last few seats left at the college after finalising admission at another college, which led to the cancellation of admission at the other mentioned college. The admission procedure, teaching and non-teaching staff were helpful and polite and made the entire process smooth.

DES Navalmal Firodia Law college: Unexpected Gem

Admission:

I applied for ILS Law College, but couldn't make it to the allotted list. I haven't availed any quota. Admission criteria for the course are 12th or equivalent passed with a 65% score. The admission process was tedious as CET kept postponing the dates, but received nothing but cooperation and help from the college. The college itself is good. The classes 10/10 The teachers have done everything they could and more to help us in understanding the concepts. They have learnt to use the Teams app excellently and provided reading materials and notes. The peers: 9/10 The peers are great. Not everyone is fluent in English or Marathi, but they try to accommodate everyone and don't let anyone feel left alone. Sometimes language barriers can cause frictions, but it is resolved quickly. Extracurricular activities: Even during Covid, almost all extracurricular activities are conducted and they are conducted with such enthusiasm.

Yes, for D.E.S.'s Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College (Pune), it is compulsory to attempt MH-CET Law for admission into its undergraduate law courses (BA LL.B, BBA LL.B, LL.B). All admissions (for 3-yr LL.B. and 5-yr integrated courses) are done through the centralised allotment process (CAP) based on MH-CET Law scores.

The first year fee of DES SNFLC BALLB or BBALLB is INR Thirty thousand five hundred. The second third, fourth and fifth year fees of the course are also the same as the first year.

You could choose exam centre as per your convenience, better if it is near your, but in case of Arunachal Pradesh, you can choose Itanagar.
