NMIMS Overall Review

I took the NMAT test and received a score of 246, the cut-off for the 2021-23 cohort was 235. In addition, the individual cut-off was set at 76. Following the exam, the selected candidates were given a WAT test and a PI. A total of 1300 candidates were selected for the final selection, with around 600 of them enrolling in MBA programs at NMIMS in Mumbai. On the official website of NMIMS, you can find the application form as well as other information. In addition, I did not take advantage of any reservation perks. Overall, the procedure is satisfactory and does not require any enhancements.

I selected to get an MBA in Finance. The first year is mandatory for all students, and the second year is when we may pick our speciality. If we take the full 1st and 2nd-year batch, the faculty-to-student ratio is close to 1:15. Doctorate degrees are held by the majority of faculties in their respective fields. A few of them are also industry specialists. In addition, we have six trimesters in two years, and all six trimesters include exams. Exams are of a moderate difficulty level.

There are a plethora of internships available. Appropriate placements are maintained. The highest stipend is 1.55 lakhs per month, with an average of around 70,000 per month. Market research, sales, brand marketing, auditors, Product management, and other positions are available at companies. The campus is visited by the same firms as the final ones like Dabur, Google, Genpact, Pepsico etc.

The placements are excellent. The average package last year was 17.44 lakhs. It'll almost certainly rise this year. This time, we only had 8 days to complete final placements for all 600 students. The highest package is around 40lakhs. Microsoft, Jubilant, Marico, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Bain, Dabur, ITC, and other companies visit campus. Almost every batch is assigned to NMIMS. In addition, I intend to work for a Finance firm.

The annual fee structure for me, i.e. cohort 2021-23, is 10.95 lakhs. Although the price is higher than that of traditional universities, it may be offset by attractive compensation packages from employers. The fee at NMIMS is nearly doubled every year, yet you may receive a loan just by mentioning NMIMS. There are some scholarship alternatives for kids with an annual family income of Rs. 8 lakhs, but they come with a lot of strings attached.

Due to online classes, I haven't gone to campus yet. However, as you can see in the photos and hear from the graduates, the campus is nothing short of a 5-star hotel. Euphoria is a large cultural festival that takes place every March. Freshmen can also participate in a variety of festivals and activities. Only books were supplied to us through courier, and library access was provided via the internet. Sports and extracurricular activities are available, but owing to the internet environment, I am unable to take advantage of them. There are many clubs and committees focused on marketing, finance, operations, students, placements, singing, and dancing, among other topics.

After the NMAT exam shortlisting, there was a written examination called WAT. I, too, went through a PI. The majority of the PI queries were about hygiene and general awareness. The majority of my inquiries concerned my employment experience (I worked as a Production Executive at Wendt India Ltd for 45 months). The only way to prepare for these rounds is to be confident, truthful, and aware of what's going on around you.
