Remarks

The syllabus should be more student friendly and instead of focusing on memorizing skills, practical application of knowledge must be prioritised. Events such as Elixer (held once in 3 years) Annual Language fest ( Panache) and tech fest (Techstorm) are held in the college. Various events are also organised throughout the year such as creative writing competition, business plan competition, teach quiz, blood donation camps and indoor game competitions.

Course Curriculum Overview

Some teachers here are good, helpful and concerned about the future of students. They worked very hard. For coding, there is no such type of environment. You have to depend on other sources if you want to be perfect in coding. The syllabus is the same as of other colleges.

Placement Experience

For placements, numbers of companies visiting every year are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, etc, and all of them are mass recruiters. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA. Last year the highest salary package offered was 10 LPA by Byju's. Only a few students get an internship from college, and you have to do it from outside.

College Events

There are many labs for all branches with pretty good equipment. There is a canteen, but food quality is not that good. There is a library, but very less number of books are available. The infrastructure of our college is not that good. There is no medical facility available in college neither there is any sports ground. There is a common room where you can play carrom and table tennis. For hostel facilities, they have ties with private hostel outside of campus.

The placement scenario of my college is very great around 95% student get placed every year. This is the only government which offer such type of placement. You do not have to worry about the placements but remember you have to work hard for the same.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

Companies of all domains like the Asian Paints, EY, Nestle and HDFC Bank among all of them come to SXC. Biggest placements so far has been of 20 lakhs or so when one of the student was placedat such a package in 2024.
