JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

Well from experience I want to draw the conclusion that the college is good if anyone follow the academics in a right way and if anyone attends the class regularly. Placement is an issue which is needed to be improved upon.

The infrastructure for civil engineering is highly well equipped with all the materials. The course is of 4 years which includes 8 semesters and it provides industrial training as well. To be honest the college does not have any research facilities and for you need to go for higher studies outside.

If anyone is looking for good package from the college then its better not to join the college. But The education environment is excellent. The college lacks in providing good campus program and placement records are getting worsened up day by day.

Every year the college celebrates different kinds of activities. It includes cultural fest, technology fest and various sports activities. But to be frank and honest the college lacks in organizing educational activities like seminar, quiz competition, etc.

I would say the fees structure is very expensive when we studied. Not aware of the fees structure nowadays but I feel that the fees structure has become more expensive now. The fees are paid in 8 installments which is paid after 6 months for the four years of course duration.

I never ever opted for any educational loan but if anyone wants to apply for student education loan, he/she can approach the management cell of the college. The management of the college is very helpful and cooperative and they will suggest you regarding the student education loan. The student education loan in the college is generally given by Punjab National Bank.

Only sports competition is held. The college annually organizes cultural and technology fest every years. People from outside West Bengal from the adjacent states and well as from the North-East as well comes here to study. Campus life is very good and friendly. The gender ratio goes equal for every stream but not case of Civil and Mechanical.

No I have never opted for hostel. In fact I will insist everyone not to take up hostel. The hostel environment is not at all good. It is simply unclean and untidy. If anyone wants to apply for lodging and food, many nearby houses are available nearly which gives the facilities for lodging and food to the students.

The alumni network is readily available in Facebook or LinkedIn and if anyone wants for any help from the seniors, they are always there to help you in your need.

I gave Joint Entrance Examination in the year 2012 to get into JIS College of Engineering. I opted for Civil Engineering as the construction industry at that time was booming. The admission procedure took for almost 15 days and I am happy to be a part of JIS College of Engineering.

The faculty of our college in very cooperative and very supportive. But one thing that everyone needs to keep in mind is that you will only be able to clear all your doubts only during the time of the classes. The teachers of your college are simply going to deny you when they are away from the class.
