Remarks

College management is a bit strict. Some students may like it while some won't.

Course Curriculum Overview

My college actually gives a lot of importance to academics. They provide much more importance to studies rather than industrial knowledge. I am a 3rd year student and I as of now have had one Industrial visit. They do urge us to do internships in vacations and we did go for 2 internships.

Placement Experience

3

My course civil engineering doesnot have much placements. Other courses provide placements and campus selections but civil engineering doesn't have much placements. Im a 3rd year student and we have had one industrial visit till now. Our faculty has although told us to go for internships during vacations and that has gone well till now.

College Events

3.5

During the 1st year of my joining, we only had onam celebration. We didn't have any cultural fest or any technical fest. During the second year, we had cultural and technical fest, we had onam celebration and various tournaments like basketball etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for me is feasible. The college accepts payment through card. Offline payment is also available. There are a lot of additional miscellaneous charges that the college make. But they do provide transparency in fee breakdown. They also provide various scholarships made by government and because of that, a lot of students can pay their fees through scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

College would sent mail to students on different scholarships. And we have to fill the forms, get it attested and submit it before the due date.

Campus Life

There is no gender discrimination in our college. All are treated equally. They give more importance to academics and because of that they dont give much importance to extra curricular activities. But our college doesnot provide a lot of extra curricular activities. That is a downside as colleges should actually be promoting the skills of students such that they can do the best of both worlds.

Hostel Facilities

I have opted for hostel. The rooms are quite good. The rooms are tidy and neat. We can select between single room or double room or a triple room.1st and 2nd year students can have triple room while 3rd year students can choose between triple or double bed rooms. 4th year students acan choose between single, double, or triple bed rooms. Maids presents there do clean the whole hostel daily and because of it, hostel is pretty neat. Although the food in the hostel ain't that good.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors do really motivate us. They help us in studies, and they also help us in other extra curricular activities. They are really friendly too.

Admission

I wrote the kerala entrance exam. After the merit list was published, I had a call from the college asking me whether i had interest in joining the college. I actually got a lot of calls from different colleges.I visited those colleges but amal jyothi college had amazing infrastructure and ambience. So we enquired about the college and we heard a lot of good opinions. One of my friend also studied there and he also said it's a good college. So i went for the interview. I passed for the interview and got placed in civil engineering department. I paid the fees that day itself and after a month went to the college.

Faculty

4.5

I as of now doesnt know the total number of faculty present in my college. But there are a lot of faculty for every course present there. Each subject has a minimum of a faculty and lab also has a minimum of 2 lab faculty. There is ambient number of faculty in our college.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. At the conclusion of the second year, the college evaluates all students, allowing only the diligent and deserving individuals to proceed, while others are dismissed. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.
