Excellent College with Many Opportunities

Integrated MCA (BCA+MCA) is a 5 year PG course which we could enroll right after school without additional entrance exams. This also helps us in directly being post graduate without losing many years. Also the curriculum is structured such that we get more experience related to computer programming. Internal Exams are conducted twice per semester. End of each semester, we've the external university exam.

The Startups Valley TBI part of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering provides various paid internship opportunities to intersted on a regular basis. Faculty working on funded projects of various engineering domains also hire students when required. Stipend provided when required.

We've various MNCs conducting placement drives for final year students. Notable recruiters who visited so far include TCS, Safran, Deloitte, G10X, SOTI, etc. The students are being picked for software engineer positions with packages of minimum 5LPA.

I'm paying around ?60000 per year (bi-semester). I've availed Saksham Scholarship from AICTE which gives ?50000 per year. Fees are higher in even semesters. Fees has increased since admission slightly. Scholarship cell of the college helps in availing all kinds of eligible scholarships. College even provides own scholarships for needy. Since Integrated MCA (BCA+MCA) admission is purely merit based, no donations required.

The cultural festival conducted annually is named Azure and happens in May. We also have events like Tedx, NASA space apps Challenge, etc. with participants from other institutions. We've sports tournaments like Arena for Basketball and Avesh athletics annually. There are various extra curricular clubs led by students. All classrooms are smart classes.

I had only applied at this college. Factors influenced the choice was the reputation of the college across Kerala, proximity to my home. Also it's one among the very few colleges offering integrated MCA programme in Kerala. The college has NAAC accreditation & Computer Applications department is NBA accredited.

Faculties are mostly well experienced in their subject area and there is a good balanced faculty to student ratio. They are supportive of students academic growth. There is an Associate Professor named Dr. Bijimol TK who has been very supportive of students taking up projects, startups, patents, etc. beyond the academic syllabus. Faculty are also supportive in making special arrangements for Differently Abled students.

Facilities like Gym, Cafeterias are available until dusk. On weekends, there are special hangout events for hostellers at night and they are free to roam around. They are safe as no issues reported so far. The new college management has been trying to improve the nightlife recently with all major celebrations organised at night after class hours. The campus is well lit even during night with alert security personnel on the watch.
