Geology has been my fascination for a long time because of such a huge scope along with an adventurous life as a bonus due to field work and many more. Opting for JIS University was because of its amazing environment just suitable for studies, along with plenty of activities for students for innovation and also for the extravagant field work of our department along with GSI.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our Course Curriculum is updated as per the instructions from UGC and are designed or better understanding of the subject. The faculty members are extremely helpful. Also the vital part of the course that is the field work is conducted in association with GSI, and hence we have got the opportunity to experience one of the best fields at the undergraduate level.
Placement Experience
Almost 50% of the students get placed every year and rest pursue for higher studies. This institution holds a a good record on terms of placement.
College Events
The institute also holds for plenty of activities including the freshers Valistus and the cultural fest Mridang along with several programmes through the year which includes guest talk by eminent personalities and also national seminar and so much more.
Campus Life
The campus is big, with a ground and a pool by its side for refreshment. The building holds the auditorium which is where the journey starts and ends. The classrooms are very well organised and the lab equipments are also updated.
