Remarks

For having practical knowledge and get job in Electricity Board but I regret; now it is like a arts course. Everything is just theories; zero practical knowledge,they have labs but no proper amount of equipments

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are helpful. They provide only theoretical knowledge, as a result we have zero practical knowledge. Computer and the ECN teachers are the gems. Also the account sir. ( Upasana Sarma is one of them. )

Placement Experience

We have zero knowledge about that because our seniors told us that companies visited here but to get selected it is upto God and the student have touch with the teacher. But I didn't see any company visiting may be because I joined the course later

College Events

In college week,we perticipate in science exhibition and we get first prize but the money what came from the branch, took another team and we got nothing, faculty said that they'll give us the 3000 rupee but it's almost 8 month and we got nothing. Also we didn't get all certificates, in other competitions also we didn't get any prize just a medal and certificates, who got trophy (which is just for the first prize holders of game sector and mehendi design competition, other got just a medal and a certificate where they forget to sign) on that trophy there was nothing written, like for what the trophy is about.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure is nice. But they don't have proper number of toilets(one girls common room which have only one toilet which is dirty to another level). Also the labs for 3rd to 6th semester, they don't have equipments, they have only one and maam dont allow us to touch and so how we xan get the practical knowledges ? Library is very big. We don't have wifi or if we have no one has the password except from the facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a science student and always been interested in medicines so this course is quite interesting and yes it's tough . The struggle is real as the class starts at 10am in the morning and lasts upto 4pm minimum which teaches us to be patient and deal with things nicely. Some subjects are quite difficult for me but the 2 sessional examination before the final examination really helps a lot in the preparation.

From the 5th year students become eligible for placement even many got PPO before completion of course. Khaitan & CO once visited in the campus , highest package is not disclosed , average can be 800000 per year . This year many got PPO . My plan after graduation to do LLM and prepare for higher level exams .

It is good but not the best

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always had a interest regarding business administration so i decided to take this course.This course will help me to gain experience regarding how a business works in the real world and also will help me to face the real skilled world. The teaching could be done in a more interactive way and also in a advanced way like using smart boards. Exams are held on an interval of about 2 months and their difficulty is quite moderate.

My opinions on PRAGJYOTISH COLLEGE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspect that influenced me to choose this course is , computer science. I'm interested in coding and programming. The curriculum lacks in preparing you for real-world applications as it focuses on mostly theory part . The improvement they can do is , by teaching students practically more and theoretically less. Because coding requires practice. The difficulty level is average , so frequency and timing of exams are fine .

Before the admissions there was an entrance exam held which is known as PAT ( Polytechnic Admission test) which is held between July -August for new batches . After the entrance exams the students cleared go through councelling where the authorities allocate the students preferred the institutes of their choice in regards to their marks obtained . The students fillup the online registration forms with a hardcopy with their birth certificate 10th and 12th marks and if they have studied in some other colleges or schools with a Transfer certificate from that particular college or school .
