Course Curriculum Overview

3

This is a diploma course that is being provided by the board which is the Directorate of technical education which basically sums up the possible course curriculum that may be provided. The course is handy yet difficult which is due to the lack of certain amount of classes held during a semester, certainly due to lack of classes as compared to the syllabus it becomes a bit hectic for the students but also the work load and pressure is high , even though the faculty members certainly try to provide possible help and make the students learn the subjects more precisely the core topics it somewhat misses the whole point of being such a important lesson to be learnt as the topics are explained as just as a summary with minimal important points highlighted with notes , diagrams and in practical classes .

Placement Experience

3

The placements in regards to the courses are quite high and practically low which certainly depends upon the course the student studying. The availability of jobs for the civil department are quite low as their are high number of students applied for the particular course or in general the unemployed students are more in this particular course due to less jobs . In the increase in electronic industries and semiconductor industries the job availability is quite moderate or high as compared to other courses due to the need of employees. So it certainly depends on the current situation of the jobs and sectors associated with the particular job opted for .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure as in for a Government College is expected and makes the students from different economic backgrounds have access to the education provided . It certainly makes easy for students coming from poor families and study and further learn and get a decent job form the particular department they have studied or belonged to . The fee structure is not only lesser compared to the education institutes which are running under the private sector but also the institute provides opportunities to the students with on filed experiences such as practicals and internships .

Campus Life

2

Overall experience in regards to infrastructure is quite good where as the environment as a student with fellow classmates is not that great further more worse with the students of other departments. Letting other department students than their's is quite normal moreover the hosteller non-hosteller banter is quite acceptable but sometimes gets out of hand .

Admission

Before the admissions there was an entrance exam held which is known as PAT ( Polytechnic Admission test) which is held between July -August for new batches . After the entrance exams the students cleared go through councelling where the authorities allocate the students preferred the institutes of their choice in regards to their marks obtained . The students fillup the online registration forms with a hardcopy with their birth certificate 10th and 12th marks and if they have studied in some other colleges or schools with a Transfer certificate from that particular college or school . The faculty members of the college recheck the required documents (hardcopy) in the allotted institute of the students and further go through the process of fee payment.

Faculty

4

The teachers or the teaching staff certainly in the department of mine that is Electronics and Telecommunication engineering are friendly , professional and approachable. The re-explanation or certainly providing an opportunity in re establishing certain unknown subjects through their experience is high .. If certainly some students miss certain important topics they opt for a re-explanation of that particular topic so that the students missed the class can have a proper look on the topic missed and can go along with the whole class . They focus more on the practicals than the theoreticals . The theories and the practicals go parallelly simultaneously which makes the learning much more better exciting and professional in terms of electronics engineers ..
