Dhemaji Polytechnic, established in 2017, is an AICTE approved college for Polytechnic and Government Institution affiliated to Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam. The college is located in Dhemaji District, Assam which is one of the remotest corners of North-East India.
It offers 3-year Diploma Polytechnic courses in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. After completion of the course, students can opt for BE/B.Tech. to pursue a career in Engineering.

DPC, Assam Admission Guidelines
Selection Criteria:
Selection is based on the Entrance Exam of ASSAM-PAT and further Interview.
Candidates sponsored by other states, Union Territories and foreign Countries need not appear for the Entrance Exam of PAT but those Candidates are only required to submit their Applications in the prescribed forms completed in all respects when called by DTE, Assam.
How to Apply?
- Application form can be available at the Campus of DPC, Assam by paying the Application fee of INR 20.
- The form should be filled and to be submitted to the Principal of the Polytechnic where the Candidate intends to appear in the Entrance Test
- Application form along with 2 Passport-Size Photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer and pasted on the filled form is to be submitted along with the required Documents.

- Certificate from Director of Sports, Assam

- Certificate from the Director, RajikSainik Board, Assam if applied against category of retired defence personnel
- Certificate from the employer, if applied against quota of Central Government employees, etc.

The admission dates have not been released yet at the Dhemaji Polytechnic for the academic year 2024-25.
There is no entrance examination for admission to courses. Dhemaji Polytechnic does not offer B.Tech.
