Remarks

The college is one of the best for engineering courses in Assam. It teaches students a great quality education along with moral values. The college is very good in terms of faculty and fees structure.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well structured for the students to adapt the course well after schooling. The courses are very broad and allows the students to get in-depth core of the field. The exams are conducted per semester and is relative to the subjects which we learn.

Placement Experience

The placements and job opportunities are good in this college. Many companies dont come for their drive, but still students get placed in them, which conducts their drives. The students are given opportunities to attend internships at big industries like Oil India, ONGC, NPTC etc., The stipend nearly ranges from 5000-10000INR.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is affordable by the students and is designed as per the guidelines of the Assam government. It is feasible and mostly the students pay their fees even by working part time. As per the fees structure, they deliver the education system to the students.

Campus Life

The college conducts events such as festival celebrations, cultural fests and annual week. The college also inculcates sports activities during the weekly fests and organizes the events in a very grand manner. You can definitely enjoy them.

Hostel Facilities

There are two boys hostel and a girls hostel in the campus. The accommodation charges are very low and students have to pay rentals on monthly basis. The mess food charge, and other electricity bills have to paid separately.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a separate department who keep in track of the alumnus passing out of the college. The alumni often visit the college and teach valuable lessons to the students sharing their experiences and failures.

Admission

The admission process involves three steps. First scoring marks in senior secondary school examination and in PAT entrance exam. Second, submit the form provided by the college, filling out all the necessary details. Third attend the interview round. If selected, they will call and inform you about the selection.

Faculty

The faculties of the college are good and very friendly. They have several years of experience in the field and they guide us well in all aspects of career and life lessons. Apart from studies they teach us moral lessons also.

Which includes BPCL, OIL India Limited,EIL, MECON, BEL, HPCL.. etc .. Top core company also visited here ... Which includes vedanta , jsw , Tata Power, Honda etc . Highest package is 82 lpa which is given by atlassian. Average is 6 lpa I am working in infratech company

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are allowed to participate in oncampus summar internship and from. 7th semester starting they are allowed for 6 month internship and Full time roles . There is a Training and placement Cell in our college there are some heads of this cell they are senior professors and it have final year students in senior coordinator position and 3 rd year study as probationary. Students bring the companies which fulfills the criteria of TNP cell and each company have their own eligibility criteria and selection procedure. Mostly companies allows 6 cgpa without any active backlog students . But some high paying companies requires 7 or more cgpa . In 3rd year Cisco , microsoft, public sapiens, Tech Mahindra, Accenture ,Oracle and many more companies visited in our campus and hired good amounts of students for summer internship and mostly offers full time role as ppo to students. In 4th year a lots of company like Novartis, amazon, flipkart,aditya birla, Cisco , Deloitte, oracle,ukg, Motorola, siemens , IBM and many more startups visited college and hired .Some paid 15+ CTC and some 6 to 10 CTC . Almost 40% of students are placed till December this year from each branch . Personally I'm planning for taking chances to get an online internship and then try to go for higher studies abroad in automation and robotics.

Yes it has meet my expectations in choosing the course and it had prepared me for real life experience like measuring blood sugar levels etcc etc and there are more to learn. Some areas need improvements like lab supplies and chemical supplies. The timing of exam is well maintained providing us much time between. The difficulty level also goes from hard to minimum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution provides a vast syllabus prescribed according to the courses . I did hons in english so in my field I had to study a vast syllabus ranging from ancient greek and roman literature to modern dramas The English course consists of poems, dramas, novels, novellas and many other. The course or syllabus is varies with different stage of semester or year In the first semester we had study the follows Greek literature and epic Roman literature Early indian literature In the second semester Roman literature Indian literature In the third semester Popular literature British literature American literature ....... The proficiency of students is checked in the exams where in the first sessional the level of questions remain easy Moderate to difficult in the second sessional and increases the level of difficulty with the progression of semesters If I will talk about the pros of the course It gives an insight of to the vastness of the world of literature which helps the students in different fields. It gives an opportunity to study different stories written by different writers from different countries and helps in to learn the culture, language, society, polity and the history of a particular period of literature movement. It also helps the students to think critically and creatively to utilise it in the real life scenarios. There are also some cons of this course It's vastness can sometimes make students burnt out completely due to the vastness of the course and the limited time frame where you have to cover everything from poems, novels with 300 pages to seminars , internships

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

"Genuine Review of BCA at ADP College: Good Faculty but Average Placements"

Placement Experience:

"To be honest, the campus placement at ADP College is average. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th or 6th semester. Since this is a general degree college, we don't see very big tech giants visiting frequently. Mostly, students try for off-campus drives like TCS Smart Hiring or Wipro WILP. Some local IT firms and agencies from Nagaon and Guwahati also visit the campus. The average salary package is around 1.8 Lakhs to 2.5 Lakhs per annum. The highest package usually goes up to 3 Lakhs. Around 30% to 40% of students get placed, mostly in roles like Junior Developer, System Support, or BPO sectors. Many students prefer to go for higher studies instead of taking these jobs.

Not good at all placements. Worst placement college that is ever been. They couldn't get companies coming to this college after such long times. The only companies which comes gives packeges as low as 200000 per annum. which is worst in these present times.

A comprehensive review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because I like Mathematics & Physicss and I want to know more about the subject the course. The faculty is very supportive And helpful. The faculty members are all qualified MSC and PhD in Mathematics. They are very good teachers. Besides the semester examination, there are some class tests held by the faculty. As the subject is very informative the students studied hard to pass the exam.

Before the admissions there was an entrance exam held which is known as PAT ( Polytechnic Admission test) which is held between July -August for new batches . After the entrance exams the students cleared go through councelling where the authorities allocate the students preferred the institutes of their choice in regards to their marks obtained . The students fillup the online registration forms with a hardcopy with their birth certificate 10th and 12th marks and if they have studied in some other colleges or schools with a Transfer certificate from that particular college or school . The faculty members of the college recheck the required documents (hardcopy) in the allotted institute of the students and further go through the process of fee payment....Read More
