College journey

We did attend lectures but mainly we were in the workshop doing the project work in allotted groups. We had internal tests as mid-semester exams but the final exams and the research were the main considerations for the semester result which were conducted at the university itself.

Some placements drives are generally at the placement building of the university where companies visit every year to hire aspirants. BMW, Tata consultancy, Reliance, Ashoka Group where the recruiters who gave at Sharnbasva university for campus placements.

We had 62,000 as the yearly fees for this particular course and I gave this amount at the time of admission as from my perspective, fees were feasible. Also, the fees for the coming year were almost similar and generally, every candidate in my batch felt the fees reasonable.

Some of the students availed of the scholarships of 18,000 which named Vidyashree (epass) scholarship if the candidate matched the criteria. However, the students have options of scholarships from the government as well as the private sector based on the sole academic performance.

As we were in the technical field, we had relevant workshops and seminars at the university and students were individually interested. We had a tech-fest where students came from other institutes and the program was followed by music and dance festivals at the main hall.

I had a few chances to meet the alumni candidates but at the university the connection and interaction with the senior students are good. They have a friendly nature and guide their juniors in the correct path and also relevant to the academics at the university.

I got a merit-based admission seat at Sharnbasva university where the options were many but I chose my master's program as a machine design stream. Also, students generally follow the online application procedure for admission.

We had qualified and much-trained faculties with higher academic achievements like Ph.D. and M.Phil. They showed the importance of academics to achieve a goal and also gave many detailed lectures on almost every topic which turned out much helpful in the project and research work we did at the workshop.
