Life In University of North Bengal

My course syllabus was well updated with topics like Structure and Functions of Non-chordates, Tissue structure, Function and Chemistry, Comparative Animal Physiology, Biochemistry and Molecular biology and Taxonomy and Biodiversity. Internal marks were given on the basis of regular practicals and lab experiment.

Placement cell was strong, all faculties trained the student for the interviews. pre-placement practices were given to the students. Many of my classmates got placement from the much-reputated company with a good salary package. Today they are working as a Wildlife Rehabilitator, Conservationist, Semenologist, Production & Quality Control Chemist and Biological Laboratory Technician.

The course fees were very affordable and feasible because I paid an amount of INR 20,000. any student could easily pay the fees. but students have to extra fees for hostel and mess facility. the labs were well equipped so it was worth to pay the fees.

This university had so many facilities such as sports facilities Athletics, badminton, cricket, football, kho-kho, table tennis, coaching camps etc. university had Girls and boys hostel with facilities sports types of equipment. This university also organized various workshop like Rajbanshi - Bangla - English dictionary project in collaboration with Bhubaneswar and also so many events celebrated dhimal folk dance, lahankari folk song, Tamang folk dance, Rabha folk dance and also organized folk festival international seminar etc.

My admission procedure was very simple because I was already a student at this college and I completed my graduation from the same college. so, I directly went to the admission team and submitted my documents. then a small MCQ test was taken by the college and my name was there in the merit list. then the HOD gave me a confirmation letter.

The faculties regularly upgraded their skills and knowledge, They always aimed at making our problems easier with their brilliant management techniques and innovative minds. There were many interactive sessions between teachers and students. My College had permanent lecturer and guest lecturer and they were very talented and expert in his area.
