Course Curriculum Overview

3

I was always in author and books. And this college had so much collection in our library. It prepared us for the real world expireance. Teaching method was basic Exams held accordingly to the semester schedule.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure of affordable as it was only 6500 pre semester. Scholarship were available for lotsnof student but i wanst one But i did get some relief as SC quote. Which helped alot. And some financial help like stapen pre year was given by the govt

Campus Life

3

Many event were hosted but i enjoyed most in teacher day. As it was a big event. And on the sport side i wasnt involved but as pre friends got many opportunity to represent them in state and higher level.

Admission

I appile for north point college darjeeling. I got rejected in jadavpur university on mass communication. Our addimission process depends on the student academic performance in the school. Overall it was hard to get addimission.

Faculty

4

Falculty was very good towards the students but few problems came here and there. Our english department was the best as it was very communicating and helpful Exams where very strict and conducted very well and seat the student very well.

My college has a 98% placement rate. As I'm in 2nd year, I haven't been placed yet, but as I look at my seniors, they are definitely well placed. The average package ranges from 3.5LPA - 3.8LPA. The highest package was 36LPA reported in 2024-2025.

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing that I love about the curriculum is that we need to study in depth. Our syllabus contains most basic to really professional level stuff which really help us prepare for real life experiences and further academic pursuits. The only change i would like is more practical experiences that would be helpful.

I was fond of international reletaions in my +2 days, thats why I choose Political Science as my honours subject over History. Hence. later I found very boring and monotonous in the first year of its syllabus. After having 3 years of immense syllabus, I have finally fall in love with subject in the final as my beloved IR(International Relations) subjects finally came into my life. There was yearly only one exam contains 2 parts accumating questions.
