They have a canteen and the food there is good
Library is big and has variety of books which are needed

Dislikes

The classrooms are not clean. They don't sweep the dirt.
There's only one girls common room that is on the ground floor.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Admission fees is 60000 2. They provide some minority scholarship 3. College campus is big but not huge 4. Students can buy food in the cafeteria 5. Library provides all sorts of books needed by the students

1. Functions are held 2. Freshers party then teachers day and other celebrations are done 3. The library provides the books that are needed 4. There are no student run groups, clubs or student portals 5. Boys and girls can participate in sports

Admission

I applied to other colleges with different honors as backup. Applied to Presidency then Loretto and Scottish. Got approved there but wanted to study law so I applied here as well and got approved here in Skail. And I chose this college above other colleges providing Ballb honors because this college is affordable.

Faculty

1. The faculty is nice they help the students with all sorts of troubles and issues related to studies 2. The teachers even clear students problems individually in the library after college is over 3. They are approachable and treat students nicely

Placement Experience:

My college has a 98% placement rate. As I'm in 2nd year, I haven't been placed yet, but as I look at my seniors, they are definitely well placed. The average package ranges from 3.5LPA - 3.8LPA. The highest package was 36LPA reported in 2024-2025.

Heritage Law College is Lovely!!

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

My experience in Heritage Law College

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing that I love about the curriculum is that we need to study in depth. Our syllabus contains most basic to really professional level stuff which really help us prepare for real life experiences and further academic pursuits. The only change i would like is more practical experiences that would be helpful.

Heritage Law College is a heritage of legal studies!

Placement Experience:

In the final year when some law firms and legal houses of Calcutta High Court approach our college for placements. If one gets at top law firm them the packages are around 8-10 lakhs but if under a lawyer the salary is just 2-3 lakhs a year.

Memories in March - A true fact about My College

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was fond of international reletaions in my +2 days, thats why I choose Political Science as my honours subject over History. Hence. later I found very boring and monotonous in the first year of its syllabus. After having 3 years of immense syllabus, I have finally fall in love with subject in the final as my beloved IR(International Relations) subjects finally came into my life. There was yearly only one exam contains 2 parts accumating questions.

If they can take regular class test that will help us in subject. Exam timing are not that much good. If they add outdoor games that will help students for relaxation. Syllabus should be updated because our syllabus system is not up-to-date with new law system

NUJS boasts near 100% placements, there is a dedicated Campus Recruitment Committee which has elected student members as well as a Faculty Co-ordinator. Some students get PPOs and therefore they do not sit for Day Zero. Tier 1 and Tier 2 law firms as well as Mncs hire with packages ranging around 14-20 lpa.
