Heritage Law College is a heritage of legal studies!

Calcutta University is rated as the top universitu for legal studies in India. The reason is the course as it is the best advanced and reasearch based course. Also, strict attendance makes it even more competitive and our course certainly can take students places as well. Exams are like internals in every semester and then the end semester. So two exams every semester is what we have at Calcutta University.

JSA and Trilegal thus far are the only campuses which provides us Internships through college and as many as 10-12 students are selected. Otherwise though there are not many intenrships opportunities as some lawyers of Calcutta High Court do send in their interns requirement and most of these intenrships are unpaid.

In the final year when some law firms and legal houses of Calcutta High Court approach our college for placements. If one gets at top law firm them the packages are around 8-10 lakhs but if under a lawyer the salary is just 2-3 lakhs a year.

Our fees is 30000 per semester and it has increased from 2021. The year I joined it was 22500 per semester and therefore less than 50k a year. However I am in my final year now and it is 60k a year now and exams fees are paid as per the subjects. Since we have just two subjects in the final year so our exam fees was lesser this year.

Our campus has two buildings and there's one camteen and one coffee house which is Kiosk of Nescafe. Our campus is small but very beautiful and the yellow coloured three floor buildings has every facilities that is there in any top Law College. There's one auditorium, one conference hall and a moot court. Not many moot events are hosted at our college but freshers is as big an event here. Also, we do have an annual event called Agomoni.

Calcutta University entrance exam has to be cleared for Law colleges like Heritage Law College which is best in class. Also, our college is among the top colleges for law in Kolkata and therefore one has to be at top ranked in entrance to get admission here. So, entrance is the way and those who come that way have to pay a petty fees of 60k a year or otherwise it doubles if one takes management quota route.

Nearly 90% of the faculties are from Kolkata University and most of them are medal holders as well. Also their theories are published at multiple platforms and their case studies on major cases of the country has been phenomenal. So, all but all our faculties are phenomenal and also we have like no interaction issues or they have any ego issues while talking to us.

Hostel timings is same for boys and girls and that is 8 pm. Students doing intenrships are allowed till 9 pm. Near our college there are a lot of scenic places like Lale Park, Pak Circus and others. Cafes are also quite a few and one of those is Boujee's House.
