Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is flexible and nothing is included or taught out of the course. Course curriculum and exam structure is different for every course. The exams are held twice in an academic year as there are two semester every year.

Placement Experience

The students are supported towards gaining the placement in different industries as an employees. The main function of this cell is that they arrange interviews of the students in big industries and companies and schools also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for every course is different. Fees for this course is rupees 9340 which super feasible by every category of the student. Students have to pay the fees semester wise and the fees is paid in different types like tuition fees admission fees registration fees examination fees and other fees.

Campus Life

The extra curricular activities celebrated by the college ja indoor and outdoor games cultural activities and health awareness program physical and mental health program student semester micro teaching outreach program wall magazine by students college magazine Aasma Deepa etc

Alumni/Alumna

Punarnava is an alumni Association of this college and it is established in the year 1962. Member of this association meets every year on an exhibition on handicraft products clothes at cetera where stalls were put up by the students of the college.

Admission

There are two modes to apply in this college i.e. online and offline. I've applied for online admission, for this process I've to fill the application form and fill all the necessary information in that and then submit, then the college release their merit list and the students are selected according to the list.

Faculty

The teachers are really very caring and this thing motivates the students and creates a healthy and good communication between the teachers and the students. Some of these teachers are Dr Kalyani Sarkar Dr Shweta Guha Shrimati Jhuma Paul etc

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
