Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very smooth. They focus on the students a lot and make sure they have a lot of field exposure in Journalism and also give them group and individual projects or assignments. Exams are held at the end of the semester.

Placement Experience

Yes the college does offer on campus placements to the students and various media companies visit the campus for recruitment of the students and even give them internships and provide them with good stipend and certificates.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was around 3500 for one year and for the three years program I only had to pay around 12000-15000 rupees for maintenance and examination as well as tuition fees. The fees was highly feasible

Campus Life

The college has various clubs like music club, sports club, dance club, volunteering club etc and you can join them as you like. There are also student associations and various events are conducted by them.

Hostel Facilities

I opted for a girls PG iin that area where the college was. The facilities weren't very good but it was a good place with nice cooked mess food and clean environment with 24/7 of water supply and little rent.

Admission

The first step of the admission procedure is filling of the application form and submitting the required documents for verification. Your marks decide whether you will get admission or not on the basis of the cut off.

All the Professors of the college were very helpful and understanding. They teach the students with great interest and try to focus on each and every student in particular. They are very good in everything.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
