Course Curriculum Overview

I am an alumnus of this college and have done a BA in English. BA (English) is a 3 year full time undergraduate degree course which teaches the student to understand and use English effectively. It nice.

Placement Experience

Axis Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Marriott, ITC, SpiceJet and JW Marriott, Max-Life and Wipro are some of the major institutions coming to college for placement. The position of the college is suitable for all students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college charges tuition fee of Rs 420, exam fee of Rs 100, college festival fee, student aid fund, library fees and other fees 995, semester based charges. Scholarships are offered by the college, state government and India.

Campus Life

Biswakarma Puja, Mahalaya, Gandhi Jayanti, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti, Shivaratri, Dal Yatra, Holi, Mahavir Jayanti, Bengali New Year's Day and Buddha Purnima are celebrated.

Admission

I entered this college after visiting the college. I went to college and filled out an application form from the Admissions Counter and submitted it with Document Xerox, that's all. The scholarships are primarily merit-cum-basic scholarship and post-matric scholarship schemes, minorities are CS.

Faculty

College faculty are also wonderful. Instructors are very experienced and courteous. They encouraged and cared for youngsters interested in education. Also the teacher was very attentive. They are generous and marvelous people.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

Placement are not so good but I can confirm you that if you are good in studies then you will have a min package of 50LPA .Every pharma companies in india or out india contains our alumnis as well as you will get a polite and respectful behaviour in every company after knowing you r passed out from Iopj .

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
