College life is the best life

College Management was less than average only. Our students welfare committee always used to have a fight with the management.

I took Gate 34 marks this is the best college in West Bengal after IIT kharagpur. So according to the previous placement reports and teaching faculty of this college was good. As it was in top 10 NIT's so I choose this college.

The course curriculum was great. In the first year we had two semesters where we were taught some subjects and the next year was all dedicated to project work.

Many companies came as Flipkart,Google,MUsigma,TCS,IBM. I used to get 8000 per month as stipend which was the general stipend offered and which increased to 12400 in the last semester.

The placement was good. Almost 70% of the total students got placed. Mostly the students got placed in high recruiter companies were package range between 2.5- 4 lacs. The dream companies only took 1% of the total students.

Technical and cultural fest occurred every year with a gap of 6 months. The cultural fest is a big event not only for the college but for whole of durgapur.

Fee structure was feasible with no fee strategy for SC,ST students old Semester fee was 22500 Even Semester Fee was 23000,hostel fee 3500 for 6 months fooding 2500 per month.

Scholarship and loans are provided vey easily to ant students needed. We used to have two bank branches in our college SBI and Canara Bank so that students can get loan very easily if needed.

Gender ratio was even unequal num er of boys was more. We used to have hostel parties very month in each hostels. Workshops and debates were conducted by each department in each two months.

Hostel condition was less than average with very bad quality food for which we used to complain very alternative week. But the mess manager was very flexible as he never put a restriction of what we are doing and where we are.

We have a social network site with our seniors who help us to refer us in their companies as they are any opening. In the cultural fest one day is reserved for alumni so that the seniors can enjoy the fest and in the same time can meet with their friends and teachers.

Exam structure was very strict with proper labs exams. The internals were held twice in every semester which should be cleared to get a seat for finals.
