Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed in a way that enables the students to understand the theoretical part of theatre acting and then it's practicality. The acting methods of eminent theatre personalities who have shaped contemporary theatre are taught.. It includes broad-based training in classical dramatic traditions of India and the West.

Placement Experience

Mainly T.V houses and media houses come for placements at NSD, the students show less inclination towards placements and rather prefer brushing up there acting skills by performing in theatre and giving auditions for T.V shows and movies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for the course is very less as compared to other colleges, the total course fees is 5,730 , which is minimal compared to the amount of exposure the college provides and the facilities that are available in the campus, like the video screening hall, cafeteria and more.

Fees and Financial Aid

NSD provides it's students with scholarship of Rs 3,000 per month, however this comes with an eligibility criteria, the Candidates have to furnish a surety of Rs 1,08,000 duly attested by a district magistrate or any revenue authority. This scholarship helps students to finance there needs during the period of study.

Campus Life

The extracurriculur activities at NSD are really nice, we have a dedicated video library and screening theatre where the students watch the screening of movies for there knowledge, moreover a number of cultural fests are organised throughout the year like the Bharat Rang Mahotsav and Adirang Mahotsav. The campus is pretty big and students have a good time roaming about in the campus area.

Admission

An admission into NSD is no joke, one has to really word hard and give his/her best shot. The first round of admission begins with the aptitude test, which I cleared with good marks and then came the second phase which consists of a five-day final examination workshop within the campus. The workshop really tests your acting skills and recitation.

Faculty

5

The faculty of the college is very experienced and devoted, the faculty members have lots of knowledge and have been in there respective fields for well over a decade. Most professors have worked with the TV industry or the Film industry.

I feel like the curriculum is a little out dated and boring but due to a good faculty it makes the course more worthwhile The curriculum is very text based and less practical and more emphasis on bookish knowledge persists still .

As per I've heard, placements here are decent. I can't say for sure because I'm new here. About my plans, I am doing CFA side by side because I don't believe that a bachleors degree has any valur of it's own, one needs to pair it with something else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a person who wants to build a strong foundation in both economics and mathematics, B.A.(Hons.) Economics was my first choice. This course not only provide valuable insights into how real world economics work, but it also has great career prospects. Students studying economics major actively take consulting, research, risk management as popular career choices. Since this is a practical course with a broad focus on mathematics, the difficulty level is from moderate to high.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.
