Course Curriculum Overview
The course is of 3 years divided in 6 semistars. And the course curriculum is well researched and structured in such a ways as it doesn't focuses only on our texts and the art of writing. But also also on creating literary awareness.
Placement Experience
The college helps with providing placements and training opportunities to students from well known companies such as Tata Consultancy Services and also take many students of this college for placements in the last year of graduation.
College Events
Rhe college celebrates with various events every years on a grand level within the college campus such as College Day Celebration and Reunion, Freshers' Welcome, Inter-college Competitions and many more events are conducted here on yearly basis.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure of my college is feasible but however expensive for the students who are economically poor. The fees of Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English) have to be paid Semistar wise and every Semistar we have to pay ?13570 I.e in total 6 Semistars within three years we have to pay ? 81,420
Fees and Financial Aid
The college of provides with scholarships opportunities to the meritorious students or to the ones who are economically weak. The college also help students grabbing the opportunity of government scholarships schemes. The college to the financially weak students provides with kanyashree scholarship to the potential yet poor ones.
Campus Life
The college conduct various extracurricular activities every year to encourage or ensure students participation for allover students growth pr development some of the main activities or events which take place every year are Annual Sports, Annual intra-college competition, College Exhibition etc.
Admission
Gokhale Memorial Girls' College is affiliated to University of Kolkata. I am persuing Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English) from here and the basic eligibility criteria for admission was to be qualified in 10+2/HSC from West Bengal or any equivalent Board and have passed in English with full marks not less than 100 are considered eligible for admission. I filled the admission form online which was on there website. However if you have scored minimum 70% marks in aggregate and 70% marks in English A or 80% marks in English B from West Bengal Board you are eligible for admission in this course.
Faculty
The faculty of my college is very good. They are well qualified. All of them have done Atleast M.A and most of them have even completed M.Phil and Phd. They teach us everything to the point clearing every topic of the subject they have. They help us to do better in the subject we feel we are weak in.
