Remarks

Our college campus life is very good. It is a ragging free campus. Girls feel very secure in this college as there is no type of insecurities. Staff encourages students to show their own talent by participating in many events. Staff and teachers are very supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually our university follows various courses that are provided in our college like honours in BA, BSc, and Bcom. I think the course curriculum is better as students have the choice to choose the subject they want to study and it is well developed as well.

Placement Experience

Many reputed companies come for placement drives. Recent companies that recruited students are Axis Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Marriott, ITC, Spicejet, J.W. Marriott, Max-Life, WIPRO. There are abundant job opportunities offered by the college's placement and job cell.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Actually this is a government-funded college. Its one of the prestigious colleges of our country so fees are quite less around ?9,883 per year which is very less and the facilities are quite good at this fee.

Campus Life

There are various curricular activities like sports such as cricket, football, volleyball, handball and there is a canteen also is our college is very cheaper comparatively. There are various labs including physics, computers, chemistry and biology labs

Admission

The candidate applying at this college should have score 50% in aggregate in his/her class 12th examination. There are also some different quotas available for students to get direct admission to the college.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is very important and is a major factor that decides whether the college is good or bad. The faculty is very experienced and effective. Their teaching methods are to the point and literally every student can understand.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
