The environment of the college and around it is really good. The classrooms maintain a good spacious environment. There is a very big library which is full of books and levels are good with updated Academics

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of B.Sc. honors is quite realistic and useful for students as it is very dynamic and accurate. In a semester we have written exams, viva, internal exam, and also practical exams for each branch.

Placement Experience

There is an active placement cell in my college and there are various internship opportunities for the students to earn some good experience Few companies that visit the college for on-campus offers are Axis Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Marriott, ITC, Spicejet, J.W. Marriott, Max-Life, and WIPRO.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fees are really affordable. It is approximately ?9,883 annually and a lot of scholarship opportunities are available to the students especially the ones belonging to rather economically weaker sections of society.

Campus Life

Events like independence day, republic day, sports day, annual day, farewell, freshers, annual fests are celebrated in the college every year with a lot of enthusiasm. We also conduct various society competitions in which students across different college can participate.

Admission

I got admission on a merit basis , first you have to fill the official form and select your priority of subjects that you wish to pursue. You must have at least 50% marks in your 10+2 examination to be eligible for doing any course have.

Faculty

My college have very skilled faculty. The teachers are quite good and there are enough teachers in many departments and students find no problems generally as they are all govt employees and selection after a tough selection process so faculty has no issues.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
