Entrance Preview

Had gone for thapar's own entrance exam. I was late for CAT and never wanted to give break in my career so gave thapar's entrance exam.

Internships Opportunities

Avantha(thapar's group).Gati (logicts firm), coca cola,NIITstipend were offered by few companies. Only and it was from the range of 5000-3000 per month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was around 1 lakh per year and it was excluding hostel expenses . It was moderate kind of fee structure.hostel rooms were given as per the choice (AC or non AC).

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was given to those who were part of thapar from engineering time. All those who did engineering from thapar and scored above 7 CGPA without any supplement .

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meets happens in all part of the india of thapar students .Annually there is a alumni meet on large scale . We have connected with them through blogs and alumni login on thapar website.

Exam Structure

Exams were mixture of practicals and theory. It was in the ratio of 60:40(60 % theory and 40 % practical).

There were so many lectures from outside faculty of NITIE,IIT's Professor and foreign professors also. Faculty was good and sound in their areas of teaching.

Likes

Education Quality was good along with Teachinng
Infrastructure is decent according to punjab location
Management is helpful and good, you can reach them for help

Dislikes

Attendence i perdonally didn't like, but it is mandatory
little bit parking issue inside the campus
overall college is good, you can go for it but not for placements

Placement Experience:

Rest everything is good with college, only i have issue with placement, since there are very poor or only core sales job in punjab, college is able to provide that only. You have to work your ass off if you want to get good placement, provided their education quality is good

100% placement at USB CU!

Remarks:

I completed my BBA from CU and really liked this university because of it's amazing infrastructure and the kind of high level education and practical skills they were providing. It was already decided that I wanted to pursue an MBA program in the long run. I took CAT and was able to score as per CU criteria and I was an alumni of this college only so I was given preference, although the admission was done on merit basis. I also had to pay INR 1000 as the application fee while applying through the official website of the university.

My MBA Review

Remarks:

I did my masters from Punjab Institute of Management and Technology and the level of education I got from the college was impeccable. It made me capable enough to successfully start and run and expand my business. I would definitely recommend my college for the sole reason of its precious academics and the supportive faculty. Though the campus life and extracurricular activities are also refreshing and memorable.

My Journey with PCTE

Remarks:

My MBA program was well elaborated and I really enjoyed every part of it. Especially the college gave me so many nice memories to remember from the freshers to fest and farewell. I consider myself to be lucky enough to get so many good friends, juniors and seniors. Overall, this college was actually a good platform to pursue a management course

Best college for business studies

Remarks:

I think that our college is good an average. The fees are a bit expensive but feasible and they refund me the concession money for the semester and the hostel fees. I had fun with my friends and classmates too.

Master of Administration

Admission:

The admission process was very smooth. I contacted the college regarding the admission process and informed them that I graduated with a score of 7.8% and then I applied for the counseling and then my application was shortlisted. I chose an MBA course. I did not take any entrance exams.

Worth the Money

I applied to IGDTUW , VIT vellore and other colleges i got into both in VIT i got CS but it was too far away plus the placement percentage there is comparatively low and IGDTUW i didn't have mg prefered branch. i got selected to VIT vellore , but as i belong to punjab, and the level of VIT and TIET is the same, i preffered TIET i could even get a lower branch at NITJ (95%ile), but i did not want to compromise on my branch. admission process - you fill up an online form where you fill hostel preferances (like branch and college preferances in JoSAA) from thr options of hostels available for you (J, H, FRF and FRG for boys, I G E and PG for girls). you come here acc to time slot given to you acc to your percentile or boards percentage you are called into the main audi you get alloted a hostel there you fill up some forms, pay the mess fee, hostel fee and course fee in there go to hostel get your room keys and mess card issued then setup your room...Read More

I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota.
