Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed considering the most important aspects of the subject. Each of the topics is relevant, and are important in gaining a proper understanding of the subject matter. Exams are held yearly by the university, and their mid-year internal examinations.

Placement Experience

3

Most of the students go for higher studies or government jobs, so there aren't many placements as such. However, the college does it's best to help us if we need it. They have a placement portal where students can communicate with the authorities as well as with any potential recruiters.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. It doesn't cost too much. For the three year Bachelor's degree. Even the admission fee is less, with just around 2,000 rupees required for the process. Overall, it is very much affordable and feasible.

Campus Life

There are different extracurricular activities, such as sports, music, art, drama, dance. There is also a computer cell where computer-related skills are developed. There's also many different workshops held. The gender ratio is healthy, there is no discrimination. There is an anti-ragging cell that prevents such cases from happening.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is vast and well-connected. The seniors are very helpful, and they help the junior students get through. There is regular interaction and overall, it is a good relationship either way.

Admission

The criteria of admission to this college is through a cut-off based on 10+2 results. This college is located close to where I live and is affiliated to the University of Calcutta, which has its own reputation. So, I applied to this college, and I made the cut-off, so I took admission.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty members are both qualified and experienced. They help us students understand all the topics properly, so that we imbibe everything for life, rather than just for an exam. They hold our attention, and it is never boring when we're in their classes

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
