Remarks

Some partiality is there between kashmiri students and others. It should not be happen because if you do such a thing are playing with the career of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

First Year was common for all the students. Exams are conducted semester wise from 2nd year specialization subjects Branch wise starts. Final year was full of project work.

Internships Opportunities

In third year i have done a mini project on pressure swing adsorption technology. It helped me a lot to understand the process how to produce nitrogen oxygen and hydrogen gases.

Placement Experience

For Mechanical branch for 2009-13 batch was very lucky. They got upto 13 LPA. About all the PSUs came for hiring including ONGC,IOCL,BPCL,HPCL DOT Some private sector companies were also came for hiring like Capgemini,Samsung,Wipro,Maruti Suzuki,Trident,ABB,JSW etc.

College Events

Techvegenza was an technical event Golden Jubilee for completion of 50 years of the college. Fairwell party organized by juniors. The JPL cricket tournament.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was reasonable at my timetution fee was Rs 2130.00 per sem and approx Rs 10,000.00 for hostel and fooding charge. Tution fee could be reimbursed by central govt or state govt.

Fees and Financial Aid

They support to make proper document for loan and scholarship offered by state govt. College gave a heavy amount to top 10 students of the branch.

Campus Life

This college need more to involvement in extra curricular activities. Events were not as good as in other NITs. Due to littile bit corruption students lake their chances to grow up in their ow field. But the current Director is looking this matter.

Hostel Facilities

In first year hostel facility was good,rooms were in better condition. Second year hostel was in worst condition. Final year hostel was awesome,single room set,wifi port.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

That was very memorable time with you all guys.

Exam Structure

In my four years of B.Tech program 8 semester were there each semester had two minor exams and one major exam was there. Minor were taken within 3 days those were very hectic because each day two papers were challenge for us. But in major exams minimum 1 day gap was there.

Faculty

College faculties are highly qualified and enthusiastic. They do full support in order to make the students technically and professionally. Lectures of my HOD were very interesting. Style of teaching was very good.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. The placement rate was of 108.38%.

Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
