This college has some of the most notable alumni like Sutapa Sikdar, Irrfan Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Ratan Thiyam. The list doesn't end but there many more star from this college with a very huge fan base.
Course Curriculum Overview
Students have very basic of almost negligible knowledge of acting, so everyone will be Introduced to acting first and foremost. As they gain experience and improve, Introduction to Theater Techniques & Design is taught to them and finally they switch to Theater History, Literature & Aesthetics.
Placement Experience
Overall a good placement scenario. If your actin skills are sharp and you succeed in convincing the jury and interviewers by your intellect and skills, your work is done as a candidate. So, grow that skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Different types of fee are required by the stuent to pay like Admission Fee, Stationery Fee Tuition Fee, Students' Union Membership Fee, Advance Fee for Make-up Kit (adjustable), Caution Money, and Library Fee Deposit (refundable after final settlement of accounts) which are very nominal.
Campus Life
Dramatics club is very active and tend to seek huge participation every time they conduct an event. Fun events are conducted and proper workshops regarding different courses in class is illustrated to us during workshop hours.
Admission
Applicants must have clear graduation in any stream from an affiliated college or university before applying here. Further, participation in different theatre productions is necessary (at least six) and a letter of recommendation is needed
Faculty
The best thing about the faculty here is that they are never out of the encouragement to teach. When you tend to make your hobby your career, you excel just like the faculties here and they are very friendly too.
