MEDIUM EXPERIENECE

Overall this college is good but do not rely on someone's opinion. Find different opinions and then conclude and then choose the college.

I gave GATE exam and got score 575. I choose this NIT because it has very large campus that means it should provide better facilities and campus placement.

Course curriculum is good. But it is not as i expected. However, all professors are good and their teaching are also nice. Course curriculum does not provide that much practical knowledge which i want and also there is no industrial visit.

I had not applied for internship so i can't tell anything. The general stipend offered is 12, 400 as per MHRD rule. For placement, abundant companies are coming but very few offered core subjects.

Placement are good but not as expected in NIT. This can give you basic pay but for higher pay you have very less chance. Many companies provide good opportunities but very few students selected by them.

There are celebration of almost 7-8 events in a year. It includes international event with celebrity night. Also there are two DJ night. There is hall day celebration in hostels.

Very high fees structure. Really, i am amazed because it is government college and then also you are asking such huge amount of fees. A middle class family can't afford B.Tech in this college.

They will provide loan facilities through SBI bank. I also hear that they give loan with very low interest. This is very helpful to students who can not give money instantly.

In this college, campus life is good. there are labs open for you to work anytime. Sports event took place frequently. Debates, workshops, seminars took place every week.

Hostel facilities are good but mess are worst. I and my friends eat only once and in some hostels they are proving worse than worse. Also, geography effect the mess food.

Very good alumni, they come and share their experience. They give party to you and gave gifts. Also, senior students are very helpful. They arrange fresher party to new students.

Exam follows very good structure such that you can clear it if you learn before one week because of very less syllabus. Also, in exam the same lesson come which were taught by professor.

Faculty in NIT rourkela are very good. They are little bit busy but can provide you time if you want to discuss any problem. They also eager to guide you in right direction. But this is not for all faculties, because we know that all peoples are not same.
