My Journey at AIM

AIM has given me the best time of my life. I have met some incredible professors and classmates who have given me a lot of learn from. I thank AIM for giving me the platform to grow and be successful.

AIM has a fairly concise course curriculum that is updated frequently according to the latest additions in the country-wide curriculum. There are a variety of subjects starting of General Management to Risk Assessment. AIM believes in a holistic development of student and focuses on the soft skills development of students such as communication and presentation skills. Students are evaluated on internal as well as external exams.

AIM ensures at least 80% placements for the batch. In our batch, most of the students got placed and the highest package went up to 6-5 LPA. Companies like Mahindra, Nestle, Infosys recruited students from our batch. Depending on the specialisation, there are many lucrative internship opportunities for students with decent stipend.

I had a great time enjoying the festivals in Assam. Since, I belong from North India I got a huge exposure of the culture of the north east. The Bihu celebrations in AIM are impeccable. There are so many performances done by students, it is a full fiesta.

AIM is much economical than most of the B-Schools in India. The full PGDM course is for 3.3 INR which includes tuition fees, examination fees and accommodation fees. The payment is to be made over 6 trimesters.

AIM hosts a lot of academic events such a national conferences, debates, sports tournaments, cultural meets etc. A lot of inter college and intra college competitions are regularly conducted to encourage students. Apart from that, blood donation camps and events involving NGOs are a frequent occurrence at AIM.

There are different hostels for girls and boys. They are very well constructed and are close to the academic building. The building are spacious and clean. Students can opt for AC or NON-AC accommodations. The fees differ accordingly.

For admission on merit, the candidate has to have a Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD). For candidates having graduation marks below 60%, a valid score of CAT/XAT/MAT is required. Final selection is based on the results of group discussion and personal interview.

I was blessed to study under great mentors who were ready to provide necessary guidance at every step of the way. They are very knowledgeable in their fields and are very dedicated towards their duty as teachers. AIM hosted a lot of Guest lectures where teachers from renowned institutes came and gave interactive lectures to the students. This ensured very excellent industry exposure that has helped me in my career.
