Remarks

Above average college, can be improved a lot if management cares more about students than money.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It's more theory driven than practical. practical exposure is less. exams also test how much can you remember. very less research driven and not that helpful in creating a professional out of you. exams are always conductef late. very vast syllabus. it campus placements are there.

Placement Experience

3

Mostly it companies visit the campus. core companies are less. there is a placement committee who does a reasonable good job in bringing companies. but not much training is given to students. only those with 100% academy record is selected to appear for placement. tcs infosys cognizant nest etc visit campus every year. 80% of eligible students gets placed and 50 % of total students.

College Events

4

College art festival, inter collegiate tech and art festivals, department wise festivals and exhibitions, students union related festival s. college is the running champion. in sports festivals also we are champions be it cricket football basketball.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is an aided college so student's have Kerala government decided fee, even for management students, who have to give donation at the time of joining which will be lakhs. Fees will be refunded to students from economically backward families producing certificate.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for education loan or scholorship. College didn't offer any either other than what Kerala government is offering.

Campus Life

3

Since it depends upon your entrance marks gender ratio and diversity cannot be ensured. Politics is there in campus and all student organisations are present even though politics is banned is campus. parliamentary type elections held every year. Ragging in a minimal sense is there. No descrimination is felt at college.

Hostel Facilities

4

Opted hostel. There are 3 hostels for men and one for women. It can't accommodate every single students studying, there are PGs lodges houses available in the surrounding s. Hostels are old, but neat. Mess food is excellent. Around 1500 rupees including food per month will be the expense.

Alumni/Alumna

Strong alumni group is there, they have been helpful to students. They are also actively contributing in social causes like Kerala floods corona outbreak etc.

Admission

Computer Science was my favorite subject. this was the 7th best engineering college of Kerala with 70 years history. was near to my house. was an aided college. wrote enterence exam, after results there was centralized online allotment. after you get listed in college, go there, pay fees, join college.

Faculty

3.5

They are learned, but all of them are selected by college managent. money is the most important criteria. since its run by a religious community groip that also comes as a factor in addition to qualification of candidates. most of them are busy improving their degrees and phds for career progression than focusing on students.

The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study.
