Remarks

Overall College management is nice. Dean is changed every 2 years and is rotated among professors of various Branches. One bad remark can be that you have to get minimum of 75% attendance in each of your course which restrict your participation in other college competition and hackathons like SIH, other college fests, etc. Winter Internships are not allowed in our college as it is for a small interval in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course here is Updated in Year 2016 and follows CBCS (Grade based). Student can select Elective courses along with core courses for following there interest in their interested fields like ML, AI, DBMS, etc. They play a major role in placement also as courses like DBMS, Operating System, Networking that are usually asked in placement are also taught as core course for COE, IT and can be pursued by Electiive subject by Non COE, IT Students. Two exams takes place in 1 semester (1 Mid semester and 1 End Semester) with 2 Tests for internal marking along with assignments and presentations as per required in Course. Most courses do involve research as you also have to make project for them (Like DBMS, Open Source Technology, AI, etc), so you also learn to work in team like in industries and also do research for your project and assignments.

Placement Experience

5

The placement here is one of the best in country. Most of Dream, AAA+, AAA, etc companies visit our campus some of which are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Codenation, Samsung, Salesforce, Atlassian, Morgan Stanley, Estee, Texas Instr. Qualcomm, Airtel, Goldman Sachs, American Express, and many others. You have to first register with TnP cell. After which we receive mail regarding any company which visit our campus aloong with Company requirement ( Like Branch and CGPA ) and then if required a cap CGPA is decided to further shortlist student which then have to apper for test conducted by the company (on any platform like hackerrank, hackerearth, etc) after which one have to appear for Interviews (generally 1-3 Tech. round and 1 HR round) for intern and 1 more tech. round for placement. Mostly Average Cgpa is around 8 (Only for shortlisted student as only that data is available to us) Mostly Societies in college prepare student for placement by conducting SIGs and Mock Interviews. Some of them in our college is CSI, The Debugging Society, etc I have been selected for Samsung R&D Bangalore Intern this summer from oncampus Internship session that takes place in previous year.

Some of the event celebrated in NSUT are : Cultural Fest : Moksha Moksha is the annual inter-college cultural festival of Netaji Subhas University of Technology. Started in 2003, it is organized in the month of March. It is a four-day national extravaganza held every even semester of the academic year. It is considered to be one of the biggest cultural fests in north India & attracts sponsorships from top corporate houses of India including TCS, Intel and Airtel. Over the past 12 years, Moksha has witnessed leading artists from the music industry perform in the NSUT campus. The lineup of celebrities has included Akcent, Edward Maya, Mohit Chauhan, Kailash Kher, KK, Sachin-Jigar, the Sunburn Campus, Strings, Javed Ali & Bohemia, with the highlight of Moksha ’14 being the humor fest by TheViralFever (TVF). Annually, Moksha presents a platform for the students to break free from their monotonous life. The fest has an average footfall of over 25000 people and a lineup of around 150 engaging events. Resonanz Resonanz is the annual intra-college cultural festival of Netaji Subhas University of Technology. Held every odd semester, it is an attempt to showcase the talents of students in NSIT through an array of events & competitions. Being an annual cultural festival, the fun and frolic is obviously associated. The fest is held over a memorable span of three days. Resonanz leaves no stone unturned in exploring the hidden talents of new students joining NSUT each year. The fest marks the onset of bonding between seniors & their first year counterparts. Not only do they get well acquainted with the environment in the college, they also receive necessary junior-senior interaction. All participants put in their heart & soul to eventually lift the coveted trophy. Nonetheless, the spirit of competition is never forgotten andlearning is always the motto. The fest is thus a confluence of many tunes that celebrate the essence of being an important part of NSUT’s community. Tech. Fest : Innovision Innovision is the annual inter-college, techno-managerial fest of Netaji Subhas University of Technology, which was conceived in 2002 as solely a technological fest. But as the years sped by, the vision expanded to contain not just technological events but managerial events as well. Today, NSUT conducts Innovision as a two day extravaganza of a line-up of approximately 50 events with an expected footfall of around 4000 people. The events organized are diverse, ranging from electronics & programming to bike shows, debates & case studies. At Innovision, guest personalities including the likes of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam have been invited to talk on stage and enlighten students. The famous Delhi bike group, Black Pistons, has performed gravity defying stunts on NSUT’s roads. Each year, Felicity - The Music Night, is held in confluence with the laser show to dazzle students & set the mood lighter.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is feasible. There is a increase in fees per semester which is specified during admission with each year fees mentioned in the brochure. All B.E. courses fees are same for the academic session. As in my case (2017 admission) total fees is around 6.1 lacs. Payment can be paid by Internet banking or Bank Challan. No there is no other charges or fees that had to be paid in order to secure an admission to your course. Yes college provide a transparent fee breakdown as it is mentioned at the start during admission process in the brochure. Fees can be easily paid as well as a bank education loan can also be availed which i have availed from sbi which makes it further more convenient.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I have availed a education loan from SBI branch i.e. in our college itself. It is provided easily by just providing the necessary documents of parents income proof as well as my 10, 12th class certificate. Rate of interest was 8% at that time and you just have to fill a form for each annual year with your marksheet to avail each year imbursement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the cse program as it is the need of the hour and is in great demand nowdays. In coming years ai and tech are the only things that will be superior. I think in my opinion the teaching style should be changed in some ways so as to make student engage and be interested in class.
