Remarks
There are issues in every colleges. The only thing which I don't like about my college is that we never had a fix lecture timing. The timings keep on changing depending upon the lecturer. The changing timings become a problem if you try to intern somewhere.
Course Curriculum Overview
The BMM department has visiting faculty. They are the ones who are currently working in the industry. So the way they teach is definitely industry specific as they give real life problems or instances to solve. Also the college has become partially autonomous, therefore it has the freedom to design curriculum the way they want. Unlike, Mumbai University the lesson and the units of the subjects are not bookish. The professors try to make it practical. The exam structure followed by JHC BMM is 60 marks written exam and 2 Class Projects of 20 marks each. The projects are very creative and new. The students definitely learn something that would help them to secure a job or an internship. The department also takes the students for Industrial Visits for 8 to 9 days in the month of Jan. In three years I have visited Dehradun Mussoorie, Hyderabad and Agra Mathura Jaipur. IVs are the best part of JHC BMM.
Placement Experience
The college has a placement cell where those who apply for get notified about internships and job. But it is not that effective. The students get internships and job through the professors as they keep informing the students about the jobs and internships. Plus in the lectures they keep on guiding students about the industry's working system which helps the students to prepare themselves accordingly.
College Events
Jai Hind BMM organize itabown festival called DETOUR. A separate team is being setup after two rounds of interviews. The team is divided in 10 different departments like Admin, Internal PR, External PR, Marketing etc. And a team of top 5 people to look at the overall working of the departments. It is an inter college cultural and sports festival wherein the famous colleges in the city participate. The fest has a different theme every year and all the events are then planned around that theme. Detour is the most celebrated and glamorous fest in the college and the city. Various celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Kiara Adwani, Arbaaz Khan etc. have come to Jude various events. Other than Detour, the other departments also have their own festivals like Talaash, Kani, Shout, Entourage etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is very feasible. One can do BMM from Jai Hind College in Rs.60,000 to Rs.70,000. I had paid around Rs.20,000 including tuition fees and fees of other facilities. You can either pay by cash or card while taking admission for first year. For second year and third year, you will either have to may through cheque of a DD.

Alumni/Alumna
The students are very helpful with everything. The fests are the best occasions to meet and Knowing the seniors. If you get along with them well they might become your foot friends as well.
Admission
I will be graduating from Jai Hind College this year. I got admission in this college purely on merit basis. The cut offs are very high depending upon your stream and the course you opt for. My 12th percentages were not good enough to get me into this college if I would have applied through in general category. My name was there in the first list of OBC category. But the college has become partially autonomous from 2018 but follows the similar process of admission like Mumbai University. But the documents they might ask may differ slightly. Also if you are Sindhi, you have a golden feather on your hat. You don't have to worry about your admissions as you can easily get in even with the Lowest percentage. In BMM, if your name comes up on the list you will have to go to the college for the admission process and on the same day you will be having your interview with the HOD. The reason I chose this course was because I was always wanted to learn and explore the Television and Media. I had applied in various colleges and was also selected but I chose Jai Hind over other colleges. It's because the name of the college. The alumni of this college are well known today in the industry. Kiara Adwani, Sapan Verma, Jammie Lever etc. all are the students of Jai Hind BMM. Also most of the faculty members are visiting faculty who presently work in the industry.
Faculty
Our course has 6 subjects per semester and 7 subjects in 5th and 6th semester. The JHC BMM has three permanent faculty and other faculty members are visiting. All the faculty members are highly educated and have vast knowledge about the subject they teach and the industry they work in. The HOD herself has worked as a journalist for 40years before joining the college as a faculty member. The students have one or two lectures a day for three hours Maximum where the professor also gives break in between.
