Remarks

College management was ready to address students whenever needed so I have only positive review.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

course curriculum includes a theoretical as well as practical implementation of things taught in course. Exam structure includes 3 ST exams which provided a thorough question answer respective to each part of book/syllabus followed by a final exam for pass or fail. 75% attendance is compulsory so students can learn more in college and have less burden at home or in hostel.

Placement Experience

5

Chitkara university is known for its placement records. More than 50 companies took part in placement drives which included big mass placement companies like Infosys, wipro, Capgemini, mahindra. Big companies with limited placements like amazon, flipkart, Microsoft etc. And minor companies with requirements like Kony, psybage etc. Institution prepared us for every interview academic, gd, personal etc. Special same were taken to check every students capability and accordingly there subjects and schedules were made.

College Events

4.5

Hackathon, sap, c fiesta etc were techinacl tests that took part every year to display the academic capabilities of the students. Apart from that our college has hosted India level IYF cultural fest. Techfiesta is the mechanical fest of the year where high class vintage car rally as well as new gen sports car races and display are enjoyed by students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure with this being a private college is more than other comparative colleges. 1 lakhs per semester is average academic/tuition cost plus other expenses. Also 26000 annual bus fee if buses are opted or 30000 hostel fee if hostel is opted. Uniform is compulsory so uniform charges plus college affiliated books so overall it is quite expensive

Fees and Financial Aid

College did not provide scholarship for studies in India but our college was in agreement with a number of other universities all over the world so if some student wanted to go for a dual degree half in India half foreign, for that purpose scholarship was provided.

Campus Life

4.5

gander ratio was 50%-50% male and female in computer science however for other branches like mechanical it was 10%-90% female and male respectively. Labs were great sports and competitions were held regularly for cricket, Football, badminton, basketball etc. Acedemic competitions were also held regularly and it was quite difficult to even match criteria still students were able to make nearly miracles happen.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is helpful as college often stays in touch with them and hold parties for them in the states they live in

Admission

There was an entrance based on jee score and 12the board marks. Course you get was based on your interest and marks in jee mains. There were 3 orientations. I chose this college as it has a good placement record. And it was close to my home. College provided with a numerous activities academic and others

Faculty

4

College faculty was available in allowed rooms at the time of college and through phone or WhatsApp when college hours are over. Total about 35-40 lectures per subject per semester. Highly qualified teachers and post graduate assistants comprised the faculty. Few head teachers held industry experience

Placement Experience:

Since the first batch of VLSI is yet to be placed I would take example of ECE for reference. Out of 110 students which sat for placements , 91 got placed , median of 13 lakh with avergae of 16 lakh and 61 lakh highest on campus. These are of 24-25 and this year placements are better as even apple visited us after an hiatus of 3 years. In core electronics , Samsung Rnd , TATA electronics , Cadence , Micron etc visited for tech , UKG , PhonePay , Oracle , Accenture etc vist in consulting and finance , Mckinsey , JP Morgan , GoldmanSachs , AmericanExpress visit. After my btech I plan to do a job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read
