Remarks

One of the bets college and I will never regret that I joined kirori mal college. Everything is so balanced and I became so independent and confident. I learnt how the life is from this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is well developed with tremendous practical exposure. Syllabus consider every aspect whether concept building or practical handling in the lab. Syllabus is research driven and builds strong background in the subject with excellent clarity in concepts. Syllabus is designed in such a way that with the practical knowledge, student can crack any post graduate or Phd entrance exam without the extra efforts or coaching. I felt lucky thay ai had chosen this subject in kirori mal college as today I can see myself independent and can work in any research lab with appropriate knowledge

Placement Experience

4

As I was enrolled in non- technical subject there was no campus placement but there was a placement cell of the college which enlightened thousands of students regarding various jobs for that they can apply and also arranged campus interviews. As my subject is basically research oriented my department organises internship competition regularly so that atleast some students can get an opportunity to work in renowned research labs.

College Events

5

College is involved in a variety of events across the year. Starting with the freshers party in the starting of subject which is organised by seniors in various departments and by college as a whole as well to welcome freshers every year. Then every department have their society which organises there ceremony to initiate the start of society session in which guest lecture is organised for students. College has variety of society like Prayas- The enabling unit of Kirori mal college for PWD students, NSS, NCC, Musoc, drama society, debate society,The Round Table, Fine arts and photography society etc. All these society organise their annual fest followed by college fest. These college society helps students to get involved in college and students gain a lot of experience and learn team work and spirit.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is quite reasonable as it is a central government institute. As my course is considered fee was approx 12000 per year and I apart this I had never paid a penny and mode of fee submission is online. College administration is transparent in any kind of fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does provides scholarship on the basis of first year marks. If you score in top 20 students in university in your course, there was procedure to avail scholarship. College also refunds some part of fee to economically weal students.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is really awesome as students from each section of society gets enrolled and we all live together in the campus. Gender ratio is about 50-50 and their is no discrimination on any basis. There is political influence as many students gets involved in political elections of college and university. Usually, students can party in campus as there is no limitations and college ad well organise fests and workshops on regular basis so students are always involved in co curricular activities across the year.

Hostel Facilities

5

No, I was in the girls pg which was about at 5 min walking distance from college. Average rent of pg was 9000 per month including food and electricity charges. There was a series of pg in campus so accomodation wasn't the issue anytime and we can change pg if we weren't happy with the facilities as a lot of options were available.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are so helpful and kind that I never felt like junior. Even after college my best friends are my seniors and they are always available to help in any sense whether professional or personal.

Admission

I got admission in kirori mal college in july 2016. Admission criteria was merit based in best of four subjects in which PCB should be included. I choose Zoology hons because I have deep interest in the subject and kirori mal college offers one of the best zoology labs with a lot of practical knowledge and faculty is well experienced. During the admission procedure I didn't faced any problem as seniors and teachers were so helpful and they completed all the formalities.

Faculty

5

Faculty is well experienced and warm. All the professors of department are helpful and keen to teach students not only syllabus but moral values of life as well. Teachers also help students living away from their homes in the campus. They were always ready to clear all the doubts and they always ensured atleast a guest lecture in a month or two. Teachers encourages students to follow their passion and they never denied any student to help them either professional or personal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
