Remarks
It's a good college with good infrastructure and faculty members and have great exposure to learn from patients, near to my native place, I also heard from many seniors that its the only good college according to the ranking after Kolkata's good colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
If you are doing MBBS rather than focusing on bookish knowledge you should look for clinical knowledge, in this way BSMC is one of the good colleges where you will get enough exposure. Also, faculty members are quite good always help you with your doubts. It is a tertiary health care facility infrastructure so patients from different districts come here.
Placement Experience
After doing MBBS you can opt for a govt. Job as a medical officer or further study for post graduation, you can open your own clinic, can work with a private hospital or corporate hospitals. May opt for MBA also.
College Events
Mainly 3-4 big events like annual cultural fest SYNAPSE, freshers welcome - NUCLEUS, reunion, convocation. Apart from that RABINDRA JAYANTI, SPORTS DAY, cine fest is organised well, in big events renounced artists and bands come every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Its a very low cost study so we don't need these. If anyone feels he/she needs this they can apply for a student loan or may talk to College authorities for the reduction in fees. Also if you are a student with good academic scores you can get a scholarship
Campus Life
SRB ground is for sports purpose only like cricket football, apart from that volleyball court badminton court is present at the hostel premises. Wifi facility is available in the library, has study rooms for different years students, labs r quite good with advanced equipment.
Hostel Facilities
4 hostels are available for ug students separate for boys and girls, with canteen facilities. 3 person shares a room, hostel rooms are for every student who took admission in BSMCH, hostel rent is very low, and the quality of food is also very good.
