Remarks

The college management is good. Many people don't like that the college is so far from the city, but that's the case with many colleges that have big campuses.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Unlike other courses architecture is taught by actual architects, so you are taught by people who actually work in the field. As for placements, all architecture students are supposed to do a mandatory internship in 4th year. You have study tours and site visits every semester.

Placement Experience

3.5

Generally speaking, there is no placement for architecture in most colleges, you are supposed to do a mandatory internship in your 4th year as a part of the curriculum, for which the college helps us in making the portfolio.

College Events

4

We have inter SPA's which is between the three schools of planning and architecture in India, this fest is in two parts sports and cultural. We also have our own college fest SYNERGY for which we invite local colleges. All students of the college are allowed to participate in them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible, you can pay thru all modes (internet banking, cheque, UPI apps, DD, If you want to pay thru cash you can do so via Canara bank affiliated with the college). No additional fees required for admission, the college gives a full break down of fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does provide scholarship for top merit students of the class and your parent's annual income is checked.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is outside the city, but everything is provided on the campus, if you want to go to the city, the college has a bus facility. On average there is an equal number of male and female students. There is no gender bias in college. It is an all India college there are students from all over India. The college has clubs which are pretty active (Dance, music, literature, etc), we have sports.

Hostel Facilities

4

Truly one of the best hostel rooms very spacious, two people have to share one room, the room comes with a balcony which is shared between two rooms. There are enough rooms, its mandatory to stay in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Currently, there are no alumni, you only have contact with seniors you met in college who passed out. We are talking to the management about an alumni program as it would be very beneficial for learning about their experience in the field.

Admission

You have to write Jee mains paper-2 for admission into architecture for nits or top government colleges, based on your rank your college gets allotted a seat.SPA's are considered one of the best colleges for architecture. The admission process is similar to all colleges certificate verification, fee payment, registration.

Faculty

4.5

There are around 40 faculty members in our college. The average age of the lecturers is 30-60 years. As I mentioned above real architects teach the course, the minimum qualification is masters degree although most of them hold a doctorate in their chosen course

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the forst year the faculty will make you do completely dumb and irrelevant stuff which is mostly not related to the real life. You will surely feel like and think in a way that why you are doing all this, but slowly the curriculum will get difficult and would have real world applications. In the starting you should improve your drafting and most importantly you should procastinate your work and should learn the importance of time management.

The professors are from good colleges themselves and the teaching methodology is that of an experienced person in the feild. MBS College, Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch]
Reviewed on Aug 23, 2022(Enrolled 2019)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it is very practical, you don't have to be in class, you can go out, explore and learn. I love to draw and design. The faculty-student ratio is 1:40 Teachers are good and helpful .they all are architects and everyone has a totally different view of your design. There are 2 semesters, so 4 unit tests and 2 yearly exams, the theory exams are fine but the practical ones where you have to present your work in front of a juror are tough. it is not necessary if they'll like your design or not .so they can give you fewer marks.

Remarks:

Overall, there are lots of negative remarks on SPA DELHI. They do not even provide basic facilities for the fees they take. Even what little facilities that exists are very poorly maintained. The lifts does not work more often than not, the coolers for drinking water are outdated and filters unchanged, fire extinguishers outdated, poor parking facilities, no grounds for sports related activities, no air conditioners in the classroom for the unbearable Delhi heat, very poor provision of funds, non-existent placement cells, and the lists goes on.
